eleanora_ between work and home I'm seeing spreadsheets when I sleep.
I'm going to start a file of "helpful advice" from various family members/friends. That way I can look at it objectively and decide if I can use any of it - if not I can always print it off and stick it in my wedding planner for future amusementwhen the first cup of coffee tastes like washing up she knows she's losing it0 -

I'm loving that idea. May have to steal it! 'Why aren't you sending an invite to the people you know can't make it - it would look good on their mantle piece....sure...:rotfl:
Is it wrong that I got genuinely upset and angry on the days that I don't get any RVSPs back.... I only have about 8 to come back and they were only sent 2-3 days ago.0 -
ok having another bridezilla moment! Went to see a stunning venue today, great package price etc but Im put off....because their decor doesnt go with my colour scheme!pmsl!

Never mind that its actually performed a miracle and has my oh excited about something wedding related!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -
Arrrgh.
We've decided not to invite cousins to the day because of space limitations. We've invited aunts and uncles to the whole thing and one of my aunts will be on her own.
So after a rejection or two, and knowing that my aunt is quite shy (at the last clan gathering, I attempted a conversation with her and gave up after 2 very painful minutes), I suggested to my mum that perhaps we could find space for her daughter, who would be driving her through anyway. That apparently was the first domino. My mum asked about her 13 year old son. I said I'd rather he didn't come but if she couldn't find childcare, it would have to be ok. (Grudgingly, a 13 year old boy I havent seen since infancy isn't going to delighted by a wedding of two strangers). So my mum phoned my aunt to relay this. I think it was a kind thing to do, no? Especially as I could have invited my work colleagues who I actually like and spend time with.
Anyway, my mum phoned back and said "I told Aunt X about the invitation. She says that cousin X has a boyfriend now...."
No!! No! No! She can't bring her bleedin boyfriend. In fact, I don't care if she's doing the entire Scottish rugby team and Gerard Butler. She still can't bring anyone else!!! Why would my mum even ask??? In fact, why can't the boyfriend look after the son?
Just...eff off!
That is cheeky isn't it?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

That is cheeky isn't it?:j Married my lovely man on 29th June 2013 :j0 -
I asked the cousin as my aunt's plus one. Plus ones generally do not get plus ones and I thought that was clear. Apparently not.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Gah how annoying! It's possibly just a misunderstanding as to whether people have plus ones (although I'd have thought it would be pretty clear from the non-cousin policy that you're keeping numbers down) but if your aunt is asking if her daughter can bring her boyfriend, then yes, that's cheeky. If the invitation doesn't mention plus one, there ain't one!
Thank you!!!!!! I am sooooo glad that someone else thinks this!
Anyway...rant over...continue!

I am getting really fed up with people saying 'ohh not long to go now...guess you have everything sorted'. NO I don't have everything sorted. NO I'm not leaving it late. NO I'm not panicing.
I DONT NEED TO PANIC THERE IS AGES YET.
SO STOP BLOODY TALKING YOURSELFS INTO A PANIC FOR ME.
Seriously what is the obsession with weddings being stressful and needing years and months to plan.
I'm getting on with it, my way, my speed. Everything is getting done - I'm just not telling people every little minute detail that I have planned and done.

My oldest friend told me she would be wearing a cream dress to the wedding and I freaked out a little inside.........it's too close to the colour of my dress! I'm the bride! Plus I really hope noone wears red as it's the colour of the bridesmaid dress and it's such a stunning dress I don't want anyone to take away attention from my brilliant bridesmaid!0
