We are getting married at the Holiday Inn "Oh"!
ARGH!
We're having a civil service.
Oh.
We're having the meal at our favourite Indian restaurant.
Oh.
My day. My way. ha ha
OK, my confessions.
I am a bridezilla under a tight budget and.....
I'm currently planning on getting my dress online as otherwise we can't afford what I wanted. So I have told my h2b he cannot have a Hugo Boss suit if I can't have a pricey dress. Even if his mum pays for his. He can't be dressed in something that costs more than my dress.
I have a spreadsheet that has the budget and then the actual spend and tallies up my savings on my original budget.
I won't let my MIL pay for the flowers as I wanted my mother to.
I am sure there will be more in time...Seeking the champagne lifestyle on a cider budget!

I think it must be the week for bridezilla moments as I have just found out that my mum has been telling people that she is inviting one of her friends to my wedding... She hasn't asked me yet, we've sorted our ceremony guest list and he was not on it! Nor was he on the evening invite... He's a horrid person, who would take over mine and my OH's day.... No mother, you cannot invite who the hell you like....
Oh and this made me laugh too... They know a girl who is getting married and her sister is also being a pain... Their advice to her? To tell the sister to clear off and to do as she's told... Yet I'm told that my sister should be allowed to do certain things... Grrrrrrrr! One piece of advice for one, another for me!
Oh and MissPixie I can't wait until I'm onto the boredom then excitement partThanks for reassuring me that things will get better
❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

I think I'm being a little Brizezilla...but only a little.
I've had some RSVPs back now and thats great. Not all of them but thats not my issue ..even though the deadline has now passed.
It's the 'with regret' declines.
Now if you can't make it to a wedding it's nice to write a reason why. Even if that reason is made up. Just give a reason. So far I've had quite a handfull and not one reason!
If it was me I would at least try to say why I can't make it! But then I've never had to say no to a wedding invite!0 -
unfortunately ive had to say no sometimes but iver never given a reason, i dont think its customary here sorry xxI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0

It gets better spoony! Or at least it has for me I got bored with the wedding which was worse than being bridezilla but now I am excited about the things that matter and relatively sane
Although I am threatening to shave my head before the wedding because I haven't had long hair since I was 14 and it is driving me mad in this heat!
I'm putting off growing mine out because of the worries about the heat! It was shoulder length until March when it was cut like Frankie Sandford's - everyone is really flattering, said it suited me etc.
But now it's under a year until the wedding, I keep getting asked whether it'll grow enough and if I'm having extension :mad: I MIGHT LIKE IT SHORT - ARGH!!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Argh despite being on a high for the last 24 hours over finding our perfect venue, my h2b is now giving me a bridezilla moment over bloody cravats!!
Our colour scheme is chocolate and cream and Ive given my h2b the task of sorting the kilts for him, best man and 2 ushers. So he tells me he wants the lochnagar tartan (beautiful very dark grey and blacks) and the only colour cravats that come with it are gun metal silver, burgundy and tartan! And we've spent the last 2 hours arguing that the cravats are supposed to match the colour scheme! Argh!!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -

I had hair below my waist then I got it cut into a pixie cut and I had it short for years but I decided to grow it out for the wedding but all the bleaching means it doesn't grow so fast..
I started taking sainsburys skin, hair and nails vitamins and now it grows stupidly fast! I can't keep up with dyeing it because by the end of the week I have roots showing again. They are £4 for 30 but I would definitely recommend them if you want your hair to grow faster.Getting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!

Ooh will have to give them a try, in the heat I cut my hair off but I really want it long for the wedding, and while it seems to get thicker it never seems to get longer! Have you noticed a difference in your skin and nails as well?Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -
Yeah my nails grow really fast even though I bite them they are long and really strong in the past when I have managed to grow them they have broken really easily. The difference in my skin isn't massive but it has been a bit better. It has also given me loads of energy I stopped taking them for a week and I felt awful and tired so I started taking them again and within two days I felt great againGetting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!

Well, I'm back from Cyprus. The villa was almost intact - just a little bit of carpentry done meaning that one of the windows couldn't be opened. And we had to deal with power cuts, but I got round those by being in the pool at the development.
And I'm wearing The Most Beautiful Engagement Ring Ever. I'll post a pic when I find the right cable!
For some reason, I'm feeling entirely un-Bridezilla-ey. Right now it doesn't matter whether the world falls in or my worst enemy turns up or someone else comes in a white poofy dress. I just can't wait to be Mrs DF (One year, one month and 11 days to go!)We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
