Oh definately... thats the way ot should be . The sooner he realises that the better he he. :rotfl:
Isnt that the way we all do it? Makew him think it was his decsion when really it was what you planned the whole way!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -
And I cry when I get my own way too - that's how the majority of things happened.... hmmm!!!! Ooops!
And clearly EVERYTHING at our wedding has at some point been his 'fantastic' idea - of course darling!
I am soooo glad that we all do these things! x0 -
I'm going to buy my little bridesmaids earrings for thank you presents as they always wear drop dangly earrings and I don't like that on children so going to buy them studs as presents rather than telling them they have to wear studs
They'll be nice ones though
I don't really want to invite my future brother in law's gf (he is also the best man) as she doesn't like us any way and also told my fiance once she would tell his brother he would have to choose between her and his brother (my fiance) and she loves to be centre of attention. I know she'll moan and have arguements with her bf as he is our best man and has a lot to do on the day and will be on the top table and she'll be on another table. My future mother in law said we have to invite her though as it would cause friction but we haven't given her a save the date card, we'll just see nearer the time and also my mum spoke with my godmother and counsin and if she tries anything (has public arguements or stops the best man doing what he should be doing) then they'll have words with her and escort her if necessary lol:jGetting Married 12th April 2012 :j0 -
Arrrrrgh. I should not let H2B go on his own anywhere.
Let me explain the back story of our colour scheme.
I was originally planning to put my bridesmaids in emerald green dresses, then H2b said he was going to have a burgundy rouche tie with his kilt. I didn't think that would go very well so I changed the colour of my bridesmaid's dresses to burgundy and built a colour scheme of burgundy and ivory around it. We were planning to get cupcakes from m&s until H2B pointed out they didn't match our colour scheme of burgundy and ivory. Are we all clear now, that my colour scheme is burgundy and ivory? Good.
H2B went off with his best man and one of his ushers to get fitted for his kilt. He came back earlier and announced that he'd got a purple tie. Its not even a dark purple that we could pass off as being close to burgundy. It's proper bright purple.
I like purple. But the last family wedding we went to had a purple theme and I've been trying very hard not to replicate it.
I can't even say anything because his mates were all teasing him about asking for permission and he said he was his own man and it was his choice.
But purple??? It's all wrong. He's going to look like he's at the wrong wedding.
Arrrrrrrrgh.
And I've chipped my newly done manicure. I thought shellac was supposed to last weeks?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I would be escorting him back to the shop to change it for burgundy! Sod what his mates say, he was the one who chose burgundy in the first place, the whole colour scheme was based on his decision of a burgundy tie. I would be absolutely fuming if my oh had done that, what on earth was he thinking! Had he forgotten it was meant to be burgundy?!0

Apparently the purple looks better with the kilt he's chosen. If he'd came back and said he'd chosen a silver grey one, it would have been ok. Even a black one. But purple???
It's going to look stupid!!!
Grrrrr.
I've told him my thoughts on the matter, but he didn't get a choice on my dress so I guess I can't dictate this either.
My dad will also be in a different tartan because they don't do trews in the tartan h2b has chosen. And his dad is insisiting on wearing another tartan. It's all mistached. Grrrr. If I'd known it was all mismatched I'd have gone with the emerald green anyway or teal.
Wow. I just had a fit about the colour schemes. I'm a proper bridezilla now :rotfl::rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Can't they get ivory ties instead then? I understand about him not getting a say in your dress and everything but i would presume upon seeing the groom and best men, that the bridesmaids will walk in wearing purple dresses.0

call your woman and get her to fix it, I had my shellac done nearly 4 weeks ago and its only just starting to wear away0 -
OMG. Totally unneeded, melodramatic bridezilla moment. OH does not understand!!!
One of my bridesmaids is dying her hair BLONDE (she is currently brunette!) and has only just told me ... less than 3 weeks before I get married, And if we weren;t discussing hair she wouldn't have told me.
and now at MY wedding everyone that knows us will be looking at her and not at me and her and my other bridesmaid's blonde too so I will be the frumpy, fat and horrible one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I said, melodramtic and slightly unnecessary - HELP!
