Oh Sam I know where you're coming from. My only BM is my 16yr old stepdaughter who is slim blonde and lovely. OK so I knew there's no match with me aged 47 but I was fine with that. But I went all bridezilla when I heard she was dip-dying the ends of her hair red!!! She has now got rid of the red and cut the ends of totally...and better still she's also removed the spacer in her ear
So in my eyes she's more normal....though still so gorgeous I can't compete but I'm resigned to that bit lol
ETA...and don't worry, everybody looks at the bride. I've been to loads of weddings where there were some stunning bridesmaids but they never really do steal the attention...it'll all be focussed on you walking down the aisle and looking radiant, and on the day you won't feel anything but gorgeous!0 -
OMG. Totally unneeded, melodramatic bridezilla moment. OH does not understand!!!
One of my bridesmaids is dying her hair BLONDE (she is currently brunette!) and has only just told me ... less than 3 weeks before I get married, And if we weren;t discussing hair she wouldn't have told me.
and now at MY wedding everyone that knows us will be looking at her and not at me and her and my other bridesmaid's blonde too so I will be the frumpy, fat and horrible one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I said, melodramtic and slightly unnecessary - HELP!
S x
Aaw love I have never been to a single wedding where anyone thinks the bridesmaids are more stunning than the bride! Whether the bride is 18 or 80, a size 10 or a size 28, there is something so beautiful about a bride on her special day that makes her radiant. Thats why I hate that Four Weddings programme, every bride is gorgeous and every wedding is special, whether its our taste or not!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -

I watched the Australian four weddings the other day. They make the British brides look like lovely, friendly saints.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Arrgh, future mother in law is driving me to another Bridezilla moment. She's gone on a strict no carbs diet and lost lbs. She doesn't need to lose weight as she already has a lovely figure and is pescetarian so only eats fish and vegetables anyway. She's going to the gym every day and zumba with me once a week. We're about the same height so she's going to make me look all massive in the photos. Grrr.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

1) I insisted that my dress had got longer since the final fitting. I was having a right hissy fit and kicking the petticoat and dress while I was wearing it. In fact, my sister hadn't positioned the hoop right
2) I didn't want DH turning round before the music started, as I was standing at the top of the aisle waiting to go in. I actually ducked down several times to stop him seeing me which meant to hoop needed repositioning again.
3) This one I'm most ashamed of! On the tables for the wedding breakfast we had red and white wine. I provided four bottles of rose (for which the venue waived the corkage) on the strict instruction that it was to be served ONLY to the bride and groom. One of my bridesmaids normally drinks rose. She asked if she could have a glass. I said no. My reasoning was that if I said yes to her, I'd have other people asking and then I'd have nothing to drink myself!!!!
4 bottles for you and your husband for the wedding breakfast and you wouldn't give your bridesmaid a glass?!
Spoilt brat springs to mind, sorry! :rotfl:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I think that I a bit harsh shellsuit. Although I wouldn't have anything different for the rest if wedding party, as said, if she said yes to one then they would all want some, and say well blah blah had some! Especially if red and White where provided for them free anyway. I think it was a bit rude o the bridesmaid to ask- I know I never would. I would feel thankful for what I had and drink up!:T0

It was said in jest, don't worry!
I would'nt have thought it rude for the bridesmaid to have asked for a glass of the rose though, they're friends after all.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
