I assumed this thread was somewhere for brides to be to make those lighthearted confessions of manic bridal behaviour, which we all know is maybe embarrassing or extreme, but where everyone else understands that is caused by the unbelievable stress and pressure that is put on brides! Maybe I was wrong, and I apologise if I have offended anyone, or if they believe I am a !!!!!!
PLUS as an acne sufferer I think it is kinder to actually push him to go to the docs to get help than carry on suffering!! There are things out there that can help. But as the others have pointed out this thread is a place where we can vent our bridezillaness in safety!!0 -
i am a bridezilla because i am not having bridemaids because i dont want them to look prettier that me, i wish my mum would b more involved but due 2 her disability (sorry no spell check) she cant b and i feel horrible that i want her to her moremarriage is finding that one special person that you can annoy for the rest of your life:)0

Thanks. The acne is not an issue, I still suffer as an almost 28 year old! But he's squeezing and picking and causing awful scars, which Ive tried to explain will be with him for life. I also offered to pay for him to get private dentistry since his own dentist is a waste of space and he's been complaining that he doesnt want to come to the wedding because he doesnt want pictures and is refusing to wear a kilt!
It was genuinely more of a joke, that Id thought oh gosh he looks awful at the moment (and hes 15 so his personal hygiene isnt the greatest!) hes going to have a face like a wet weekend on all my photos!!!
Anyway moving on, Im getting very bridezilla-ish at my h2b. He says that hes not interested in anything other than the budget. Yet everytime I speak to him about colours, venues, ideas he turns his nose up! On one hand hes saying he doesnt want to spend money but when I suggested we have a small wedding with just parents and siblings, then out for a meal after (we've had some big problems with fallings out with family lately) he's decided he wants a big wedding! Argh!!!!!
We have applied for Dont Tell The Bride and Ive decided I really want to just hand it all over to him and all I have to do is turn up on the day! That way I dont end up a wreck!!!Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 20130 -
I said on another thread that is the one wedding show I could see myself doing. Lol but god knows what the wedding'd end up as - it'd all be left to the very last minute knowing MrD... and even then it'd only be stuff he had to do (registry office - nothing else, no dress, no reception). Lol. (I am of course doing him a disservice... lol)

This may be a little early for a Bridezilla moment, as we haven't even set the date yet, but, I don't want any bridesmaids. So where's the problem I hear you ask? My sister has already offered to pay for my younger niece's bridesmaids dress.
If I had to choose between my two nieces, it would be the elder one as we get on far better, even if she's far prettier and slenderer than me. She's also my god-daughter, while the other one isn't. The younger one has a real problem with not being the centre of attention, and will throw strops and hissy fits to make sure that she is. Obviously this is not what I want on MY one and only wedding day.:(
I've waited 40-odd years for this day, and I'm not about to let my younger niece spoil one single moment of it for me:o
OK, I feel so much better now I've got this off my chest, any advice?Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

I LOVE this section of our super cool forum as we all get to say things to others which we just couldn't say to other people - I have vented SOOOOOO many times on here. Abi - seriously don't worry about it, none of us judge you for it.
Believe me - I have said much worse!!!!!!!!

I'm a Bridezilla and my confession is...
I WANT BLACK TIE AND COCKTAIL DRESSES. I want everyone to be pretty and not like they're going to court (IYSWIM) or an interview.
But apparently I'm not allowed to say this. Because it would put people to "extra expense" coming to our wedding. Well, most men I know (including my aged uncle!) have a DJ hiding in the back of the wardrobe, most of the ladies would be buying a new dress anyway - and if they don't have a DJ then it's less than £50 (£38 at Moss Bros) to hire one.
AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh EEEEEEEK Grrrrr *explodes*We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I couldn't understand why someone would have a Disc-Jockey in the back of their wardrobe... :rotfl:0
