Blade - breathe hunny!!!!!
Just think, it will all be over soon (so to speak...! Hmmmm...) and then you will be Mr and Mrs Blade (!) and you won't have half of those wedding stresses.
Now would be a good time to breathe again :-)

I have only just started planning my wedding and have found out I'm an absolute Bridezilla.
Said no to six venues because I don't want a patterned carpet!! I think I'm a little OCD about it now, who'd have thought.
I'm also getting a little obsessed with designing and making everything so it's a little offbeat and very "us"
*Sigh* Only 15 months to go!!!Thoughts become things!0 -
I stopped myself being a bridezilla when looking for my wedding shoes. I don't have 'normal' feet due to a disability so I can't fit into 'normal' shoes or wear shoes with a heel (I lose my balance) and all my friends and family know this however the amount of people who say that I'm not allowed to wear trainers is unbelievable (including my chief bridesmaid).
H2B and I spent 5 hours on Saturday shoe shopping and the only thing that fit me were trainers so I got them (and love them) and when I told the sales assistant what they were for even she said that i couldn't wear them and that I should wear uncomfortable shoes as every woman does!!! !!!!!! so hard not to snap at her (especially as she then picked up my handbag and took it to show a colleague) but H2B agrees that they are perfect and future MiL thinks they're great too. Plus I can wear them again afterwards.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

Alioops - glad you've got footwear that YOU want!
I've had ongoing dissagreements with my sister about my shoes & I know my mum wont be too impressed either, but I dont care.
I love my pink shoes, they're comfy, my OH bought them for me, and I'll wear them again, unlike "traditional" wedding shoes.0 -
The sales assistant saying that is really out of order :mad:

Pathetic bridezilla moments coming up in the last 10 weeks..
1. We have no guests! We started out with 60 day guests and 40 extra evening guests we now have 45 guests for the whole thing. It is silly but I am ready to cry my family haven't exactly seemed bothered about the wedding, his family are 100 miles away the ones who matter most are coming thankfully but the rest aren'ts and we don't exactly have many friends. In fact I have 5 friends coming and he has none.
2. Nobody wants to a speech because they 'don't have anything worth saying'
3. Still haven't even met the caterers and haven't spoken to the venue since last year
4. My dress doesn't fit and I worrying now that they won't be able to alter it that much without ruining it completely.
5. Certain members of my family are acting up and I am very close to snapping but I have to keep a cool head or it will ruin everything like it almost did earlier in the year
6. Hair and make up woman wants me to bring pictures for the sort of thing I want and I don't have a clue what I want or should have.
7. When did I get so hideous?
I am stressed, stressed, stressedGetting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!
2010 wins: approx £2198
2011 wins value so far: approx £650

oh Pixie i feel your pain,
OHs family cant be bothered, his parents arent even coming, 2 out of his 4 sisters and thier familys arent coming etc
basically all the friends invited are people he has met since moving down here with me, none of his home town lot are making any effort, even his best man cancelled (lucky we were having 2) i wouldnt be surprised at all if we dont get so much as a card from his parents let alone a present or even an aknowledgement of the day.
my dad wants almost nothing to do wth it, he has been forced into a hire suit to match groom and best man, hes just about managing to wak me down the ailse then isnt even going to hand me over, hes just going to sit down,
he reckons he will be getting changed out of the hire suit after the church before the reception (so... going home then and knowing him not coming back) and doesnt want to make any kind of speech or have his photo taken... he seems to have the attitude that i shouldnt have what other girls fins quite normal as he wants to think im like him.... well im not a miserable whinging old s0d who doesnt care who's feelings i trample on as long as i get my own way... the cantankerous old !!!!er, i am this close
><
to telling him not to bother coming at all.
we still owe over a grand and the wedding is 2 weeks away, i am so close to having a panic attack its not even funny.
i dont have a hair dresser and cant afford one anyway, and the make up woman wants me to find pictures of what i want i heard her on the phone to my OH sying "im sure she has hundreds of magazines hanging around so get her to have a look for what she wants"
i had a look around for a magazine and i found an old issue of 'stuff' that i bought for OH when he had his appendix out a few months ago... not much in the way of subtle make up in there0 -
If one more person asks me where we're going on honeymoon I will scream. My future in laws are paying and they havent booked anything yet so i don't know.
Similarly, the next person who looks down their nose at us for daring to have a traditional wedding and not going abroad to do it, is going to get a punch.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

as for the family issues, i feel sorry for you but weddings do seem to bring out the worst in peoplebut also the best so try to concentrate on those xx
