I've just about managed to suppress a mini BZ-outburst.
Over the weekend I was shopping with my mum & she asked what shoes I'm having.
I said I want to keep it a secret (partly because they're pink & I know she thinks I should wear something more "bridal").
Anyway, she replied - "I know why you want to keep it a surprise, because you know I won't approve. Your sister was telling me about how awful she thought a pair of shoes you'd shown her were".

Now a few months ago I showed my sister & other BMs the shoes & asked my sister not to say anything to Mum, but she blatantly went straight to her & blabbed.

Yesterday I was so close to ringing my sis to tell her how annoyed I was that she went behing my back despite me asking her not to say anything.
But, it being so close to the wedding, I don't want to cause an upset, as it's not going to change things.

It has made me even more pleased that I will be wearing the "awful" pink shoes :D

Totally! Although to me fair, for most of the time my Mum & sis have been quite helpful with offering advice.
But I'm stick with these shoes, and wasn't looking for approval anyway, I just wanted to give my sis a sneak peak without getting mum in a tizz ;)

Heheh, I did this for april fools - sent all the BMs a picture of a garish rainbow coloured dress & said I thought it was perfect for them. 2 replied & laughed, my sis just ignored it.
My sis is a lot more stylish than me though, but that's her style & I have my own.
    :)

Had to join in. Here are my Bridezilla moments.....

The first is my 'best friend'. We've been engaged since January and only decided two weeks ago to set a date so before I booked anything i sent a cheeky text to the people i knew must be there, best firend included, with the date. Then we booked. Then best friend booked a holiday so she wont be there after she knew. That was nice of her.... I 'bridezillad' and cryed a lot.

When we were looking at reception venues I automatically said no if there was a red/blue/green carpet because I want a pink dress.

I made my own wedding invites and they aren't as perfect as I wanted them to be.

I really snapped a MIL2B as she is far too pushy about having everything the way she wants it.

I got angry at OH as we decided on a first dance song and he's changed his mind now and we can't find anything we want.

I don't want my bridesmaid to look prettier than me.

I want hair and make up trials now, not a week before but everyone keeps telling me i'm too far in advance.

And that's it for now, god im appalling....

Lol thanks double mummy, i feel like a monster, i'm usually so laid back about things :D

it's MIL2B (no suprises) that dislikes our reception venue as there isn't anywhere seperate for the oldies to sit, it's all one room. Or tea and coffe facilities. I mean come on... if they are that desperate for a tea bring an effing flask. We cose it because it's somewhere we love, great bar, was really cheap and lovely atmosphere (late liscence lol) with neutral colours! Perfect! She wanted us to hire out the local sports center function room. Blue AND red. Grr.

    Hmm bridezilla moments....

Not been to bad so far... Although will prob end up having one with MiL2b! She is very excited about it all- which is great, apart from she is wanting to invite her friends to the reception (it's a marquee in their garden). This is including the mother of my ex- who although I was only 16 at the time of dating- it was only 6 months before I started dating my fianc!! Which I think could be bit wierd!
I may also have one with my mum for lack of interest! Saving grace is the dad's! FiL2b- showing just the right amount of interest and attempting to control MiL2b! On the bright side if I want to talk weddings there is always someone I can talk to...

Wish my FIL2B could controll my MIL2B! There's just no stopping her lol.

I've just thought of another one. I'm being a bridezilla when being asked about the wedding because we are having a small, cheap service and p**s up basically. It's what we want. we don't want any formality or big fuss and the next person that says to me, 'oooooo you'll regret that!' or 'oh that's a shame' is gonna get a punch in the face. It's not a shame it's EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT! so please please pleeeeeeeease stop looking down your noses at us!

    kthnx
