Well my child care provider has come back to me today - eventually. Said it will take her too long to go through all her paperwork to work out how much I have paid over the year and that all her paperwork is presently with the accountants for her end of year returns. Said she didn't want to sound like she was being funny cos she not, but if I could go through all my cheque book stubs and let her know the total I have paid for the required period she will give me a receipt for this same amount. Fortunately I have cheque stubs for the whole of this period - happy days. I will be able to get my information off to the specialist team by the end of the week! Hope anyone else who has been asked to provide childcare has a good a provider as I have.

    Hi,
I am also waiting to hear from the tax credits. I renewed 3 weeks ago via the mainline (haven't had a specialist letter) and when I rang up on Monday was told it is still 'processing'. Does this mean there is a problem with it? I wish if there was they would just tell us what information they need - its so frustrating - I feel worried even though I've got nothing to hide!! I got a provisional award notice yesterday for this year but last years isn't finalised.

We are in exactly the same position - they will not tell me why it is taking so long or when it will be done , they just say it has to be manually processed - I am convinced they think I am lying about something ! I hate being made to feel this way.:(

It is only taking so long as they put markers on our files preventing our renewals being automatically processed. There must be a reason why we have been singled out to have these markers put on though? They must want to look at our renewals in depth ?:(
