I got another letter askin 4 proof of child benefit as any1 had the yearly child benefit notice yet?? I ant ad it yet so there another thing i cant provide them with. Wat ar the taxcredit playin at this year they av made such a mess

It all seems such a mess this year i had one of the specialst letters too and phoned the specialist line to renew. I have recieved all my paperwork now.
Pinkey have you phoned the specialist number to ask why you have to send the info in? x

That is ridiculous - are they really implying that you have been claiming all this time and making up the fact that you have children or do they think your children live elsewhere and someone else claims child benefit for them ? Surely they have access to another government departments records anyway? this is all getting totally silly. I am really fed up with it. It feels like we are being penalised for working and having children. For what it is worth I think I got my yearly notification for child benefit back in January but I have no idea where it is so if they ask me for it I will have to get a duplicate.

I havent contacted them since i rang 4 new payment details but the letter was sent after my renewal had been finalised so ive not got a clue. Ive not had CB letter yet i wil av 2 contact them 4 1, it is a mess this yr they it feels like im been made out to b a liar when everything ive told them is correct which they wil soon see. Theres no need 4 all this tho arnt they conected to CB x

Yeah i thought they were connected too?? if i were you i would phone them up because think i read earlier in the thread that someone had recieved a letter askn for more info and when they phoned to see why they needed it they were told they didnt have to send it in x

Only reason I can see for this is if you have a former partner who has placed a claim for Child Tax Credits!

Also doesn't it state you don't have to include certain benefits, one of which is child benefit, in your total for income?

I'm going 2 ring them as its abit ova the top to ask 4 all this within 30 days and no reasons why. Nobody else would of put a claim in 4 my children so its abit weird as to y they need all this

This seems rather strange as the Tax Credits and Child Benefit are all part of the same department etc. They would easily have access to your child benefit details.
