B & C - absolutely no idea. They want info going back a whole year. I think I am going to phone them in the morning and ask why they need this info. It's not as if I haven't got it, I do, and will happily forward it to them but I feel like I am on trial!!sorryitsme wrote: »What does the B and C stand for? How far back do they need the bills to go back? Please try not to worry too much, other people have been asked for more info too so you are not alone.:)0 -
I am going to go to citizens advice and see if they are within they're rights to ask for all this crap without ever having giving notice that they required it in the first place. I dont think they can ask for half of what they have.0

I do feel for you! I renewed 5 weeks ago and was a bit unsure to do it via the main line or specialist. I decided the specialist and last week my final award came through the post and today my NHS exemption card, after reading recent posts in the back of my mind I am wondering if I should get all my info together just in case they ask me for more info.Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000

Hello H Cat,
I could be wrong, so pls don't take this as gospel, but I have followed this thread since it started, and googled this subject in general frm the information I have read from other forums, it seems as though there is a discrepency with the information you provided to the information they hold on you and from "other" sources they have access to.From what I understand when they ask you for bills, rent agreement, phone bills there trying to veryfy if you are really single. HMRC have links to experian and equifax which full up information on you and if you are linked to anyone financially!!! It could be something as simple as your ex applying for credit from your address or in your name to you paying for something for someone innocently that has triggered concern. Don't want to scare you babe but unfortunantly there isn't much you can do but to comply, I read about a case that was draged on for months only to find the clamate innocent and it was due to experian credit holding information that was true, but when investigated there was a perfectly normal explaination and case was closed, clamate didn't even get an apology. Hope this helps.

A p60 should show earnings and deductions, its the household bills for a year that gets me. What if you shred your bank statments each month after reading and now you have to contact your bank for a years, how much will they charge and how long will it take to reproduce? I know for a fact Barclays take ages (3-4weeks) although it's supposed to be 5-10 working daysMortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!

Ooooh, never thought of that one! That could explain things! I will forward them the info they need in a very large brown envelope and see how things go from there. Thank you so much for the info. Much appreciated.Hello H Cat,

You can make a request to see what information they hold on you under the Freedom Of Information Act by writting to head office. Maybe it's time they got a dose of their own medicine- how much money it costs them to do theses pick'n'choose checks is just beyound, than again nothing seases to amaze me.0
