Witter: My P60 arrived in the post this morning - so hopefully yours wont be too faf behind. I also received a provisional award notice too - happy days! If I haven't got the child care info I need by next Friday I am gonna ring the number on the letter and pass the matter back to them to chase, with regards to the costs of my son's school club, they are readily available on the internet on his school's website - I have not got time for all this!! I know what you mean - provide all receipts - what a load of crap - why would you keep them when you have never had to supply them before!!?? Maybe its cos we renewed via the main number and not the specialist number why we have been asked to provide proof. I will be needing to ring in anycase as my son will be coming out of his kids club any time soon now, he is in year 6 and goes into secondary school in September so I need to cut his apron strings a little now to get him use to going to school on his own and coming home on his own, he wants to call for his friends etc. Wish he had brought this up before I renewed, it would have saved me loads of time!!!!!
Let me know how you get on.0 -

For the tiniest bit of inconvenience, millions of people are getting several thousands of pounds a year for doing nothing - thats the long and short of it. Its a great, very helpful system, and those who just moan about the fact they get free cash (which didnt used to exist, remember?) should just stop trying to claim it.
Under the Tories, I doubt it will last much longer!0 -
I got a letter this morning after renewing with the specialist team, and it says
Before we can renew your tax credits, we need to check the information you have given us is right.
Please provide us with these documents by the 2nd June DO NOT SEND PHOTOCOPIES
User to select one or more of the following options

Your P60 will suffice. Thing is, this information is something they could obtain from source, afterall they are part of the tax office and aint it the tax office that supply P60's!!!! I do keep my wage slips fortunately, but all the same I am sending my P60 which arrived this morning. My P60 shows exactly the same information I gave them over the phone - I am just naffed off that they have not supplied a pre paid envelope in order for me to return this information to them!!0 -

I got a prepaid envelope, 2nd class. But im sending it 1st class to get this mess sorted ASAP. Its annoying, the figure on my p60 is what I gave them over the phone. I would ever think of lying to them, I wouldnt sleep at night.
But now I have to wait for them to get the letter, for it to be processed through the postal room. Dont see why I cant scan and email it to them??0 -

I phoned up the main tax credits with my p60 figure, heard nothing for 2 weeks, so I phoned them back and they advised I needed to call the specialist team, which I did last week. The women I spoke to advise claim was processed, then this morning got the letter asking for the proof to be sent.0 -
