I dont think you should panic until the situation has been clarified. Hopefully TaxCreditHelp might do this or it will become clearer. Already there has been two conflicting opinions from Tax Credits Helpline.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Surely a P60 is issued as a final indication of wages paid for the tax year?
Why would they ask for both wage slips and a P60? Also who realistically keeps their wage slips. I shred my wage slips as soon as I have my P60.0 -

Yes that's what I thought, I shred my wage slip each month, I don't even look at it ha ha...Its the same amount every month, so there is no need to look at them, waste of paper to be honest.0 -

Right I've just looked at my P60. It clearly states "This form shows your total pay for Income Tax purposes in this employment for the year. Any overtime, bonus, commission etc, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay is included"
So in my humble they are saying all your pay has been calculated and placed on one form ie the P60.
So surely if they want proof of income the P60 covers everything?0 -
It doesnt cover benefits in kind which need to be addressed seperately. It also doesnt cover any additional income you may have - interest from savings, dividends etc.0
-
Yes but on the declaration you have to declare those separately. I know what your saying themonkeybutler but in regards to payslips and the P60 surely the P60 covers the total amount of your wages?0
