Just hope they dnt stop my payments on 2nd june if ive not got anything back from employer or childcare provider as proof

When you reclaimed did they send you your award then ask for extra info? It seems quite unfair to ask for orignal reciepts when we have not been asked to keep them. My daughters after school club run by her school doesn't give reciepts, neither does the summer scheme.

What makes me laugh is, what would happen if last year your child went to a child minder, you parted company on bad terms, and then you have got to ask them to write a letter outlining fees paid as you wasn't given a receipt. Not gonna happen is it, why would they want to help:(

Try not to worry too much, hopefully your employer writes a letter along with childcare provider. Good luck:)

"Here, have some free money. We carry out checks to make sure everything is above board, and if it is, keep the money"

Thats what happens. If you dont want the "worry", withdraw your claim and live without the cash.

I think i might just do that, hey rent and council tax paid, free cash for sat on my butt all day and all the rest i would be able to claim and without any worry at all. Maybe if the taxcredit office made 2 phone calls to employer and childcare provider then we wouldnt have all this would we???

Then go on the dole and stop moaning about the system that IS helping you and millions of others. For the tiniest bit of inconvenience, millions of people are getting several thousands of pounds a year for doing nothing - thats the long and short of it. Its a great, very helpful system, and those who just moan about the fact they get free cash (which didnt used to exist, remember?) should just stop trying to claim it.
