no i have till the 28th i just dont want to get into this again but i know i have to, I dont know if i should phone john ledwith from east kilbride to chase this up for me as he did my enquiry before which just finished oct09. its now fiona weir from cumbernauld ref /!!!/ but info to b sent to preston. this is after i did my renewal but not had renewal form through just this letter for more info and i did my renewal 2wks ago????? xx

The current Specialist Renewals Team has nothing to do with any previous enquiries so the person you mentioned will be unable to help. The best course of action would be to provide the additional information as requested and post back to the Preston address on your letter. Tax Credits is moving towards a 'check now, pay later' approach (which they really should have been doing from the start) and although it may be frustrating for those of you who may have been claiming for years it is in the best interests of everyone that periodical checks are carried out from time to time. Just to reiterate, no one is suspected of being fraudulent or misleading, Tax Credit Office is merely trying to ensure everyone receives the correct money as they're entitled to.

Hiya, i received the letter from the specialist renewal which said they know people find it hard renewing taxcredit every year and they would like us to speak to a specialist advisor to make sure we are receiving the right amount of taxcredit and not being over or under paid and to call the number on the letter. What did your letter say?? And what number did you have to call??

yes tis was the first letter that u all have reseved, i then did my renewal and got a 2nd letter on the 27th april asking for this info to b sent in, i have made changes through out the yr in theses diffrent area's so i dont know if they now need changes in writting?

I should think purely down to the amount of resources they would need to do this, sure I heard Mr Broon on one of the TV debates say some 6 million people now claim tax credits, to make phone calls to here there and everywhere for each of these people, wow they would never complete a full round of reviews in a year lol.

And besides which YOU are claiming so it is YOUR responsibility to give any info required to renew your claim.

    Hope that helps...................

hi phoned and talked to the lady on my letter, she said i did not need to send the info in she did it over the phone, the same info that had been given for my renewal. i asked if this is a new department set up she said no this is just checks thats they can pick randoms each yr. i said will this happen again she said it might? waist of time on both side. everything fine happy with my information on the phone and said my rewnewal will now be sent out. lady was nice and know i was not happy to send info in again as this is all on a record from oct 09 when i got my enquiry. will keep posted to anychange and when renewal comes in. thanks for all ur help and support and DONT WORRIE xx

If you have not received a letter telling you to call the specialist renewals team then dont worry about it, wait until you reneal pack comes then just renew the same way you always have.

    Hope that helps..............
