Hiya which way did you renew? I renewed through main helpline on saturday. I hope they just sort it out as its stressing me out thinking about it all the time
  • hi just renewed using the specialist help line everything was the same as usual i did'nt get asked any strange questions just to clarify names etc dates of birth , lovely lady , i'll let you know what happens next :O) no problems as far as i am concerned its just to make sure they have correct details , were really nice and helpful got through after my second attempt to call them , did'nt get asked any passwords or anything was read out a declaration to advise of a fine up to £3000 if you supply incorrect information but she did clarify that there was no reason to suspect any of us are doing that its just procedure to advise us , which is good .

I can only echo this, I had the letter from Cumbernauld specialit review team about 5 weeks ago, got my renewal pack on Friday, did panic a bit at first well you do dont you something out of the blue? This forum put my mind at rest, I just rang them spoke to a lovely and I do mean lovely lady with a Scottish accent, no mention of Equifax, passwords or even 3k fines, confirmed we had 3 children, asked for my partners income and mine said she would process it now and would receive awards in a couple of weeks.

I came off the phone and said to my partner "I dont know why I have been dreading that, it was easier than last year" LOL and it was :)

Bottom line peeps, if you have been honest with them there is nothing to worry about phone them and get it over and done with, from experience when you do renew it generally results in extra payments which always come in handy :)
If you NOT been truthful then sorry to say it is only a matter of time before you get caught anyhow, each week wahtever you are diddling out of them is increasing beware you will not get away with it forever.

Interstingly from a statistical point of view there will be some on here who have not been truthful for those that have dont worry honestly it was easy, I am glad to have it out of the way now :)

    Hope that helps........

    My saga continues lol!

I've just phoned up the help line and spoke to a bloke who was lovely who said they would need to pass me through to the specialist help line (why they couldn't have just done this last week i'll never know!). Anyhow, i've gone through to the specialist team, I've got to say, the lady was lovely!!! Confirmed details and she said it has all gone through and I have renewed and I will probably receive an award notice in the next 3/4 days. YAY!!!

Considering I didn't receive a letter at all regarding the specialist renewal team it is a little odd but i'm not complaining. Done and dusted now!

    All that stress over nothing!

Thanks Angel1978, following your post, I rang the specialist line and too spoke to a lovely lady. She said there had been a inhibit signal on as I renewed through the mainline but no reason why it wasnt taken off during the previous phone call to the specialist line, (who told me it was on a worklist) Anyway she checked details again and told me that it had now all gone through and I would receive award notices within 10days, but hopefully sooner.

Glad I rang, now I feel its something else sorted out, now on to the next worry, the car!:(
