Right quick update for you all................
Phoned the specialist renewals yesterday morning, as I said in a previous post very straight forward and spoke to a lovely woman, just thought I would give the main number a ring today to make sure it had gone on the system, not only has it gone on the system it has been done and finalised!!!
They were able to give me details of my new award and also tell me when my payments will hit the bank and nice extra payment as wel
Very happy chappy and glad it is all over and done with, they could have handled this whole thing an awful lot better a bit of advertising would have not gone amiss but never mind all done now for another 12 months yipheeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Just wanted to let you all know

I dont suppose there would be any harm done if you did give the main number a quick call to see if your renewal pack has been sent yet? Maybe put your mind at rest? Theres nothing worst than worrying about these tax credits I know lol I have been there all to often................................................

Following on from your post UP and the fact that I too spoke to the Specialist Team yesterday I phoned up today and it's all been sorted! YAY!!!
I get the usual payment plus another payment. Was hoping I might have got an underpayment as I earnt 2.5k less last year than what I estimated but it doesn't look like it. Oh well, never mind. I wasn't relying on it and i'm glad to say it is all sorted now!!!
Now I can relax!0 -

Glad to hear it :j
It can be really stressful when things like this happen, just knowing it is all over and done with and finalised is great isnt it
I hope it works out for all of you sooner rather than later."You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -

Something else to note, dont rely on this it is just what happened to me last year, I rang up same as I did this year and they gave me details of my new award and an extra payment, when the daye came for the extra payment there were in fact 2 of them rather than one they just foe some reason negelected to tell me about the second one.
Like I say dont rely on it and anything extar is a huge help in these times anyhow just though I would share"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Cheers UP. To be honest the one extra payment is nice enough in itself so I shall wait and see what happens. Thanks for letting me know though!
I'm just so chuffed it is finally sorted!0 -
hi phoned and talked to the lady on my letter, she said i did not need to send the info in she did it over the phone, the same info that had been given for my renewal. i asked if this is a new department set up she said no this is just checks thats they can pick randoms each yr. i said will this happen again she said it might? waist of time on both side. everything fine happy with my information on the phone and said my rewnewal will now be sent out. lady was nice and know i was not happy to send info in again as this is all on a record from oct 09 when i got my enquiry. will keep posted to anychange and when renewal comes in. thanks for all ur help and support and DONT WORRIE xx
Hi, which number did u hav to ring? As i rang mainhelp line and they have given me a different number to call. Its not the same as specialist number either. So do u not have to send more info? Ive been worried for 2 week now, they are putting presure on working familys for no reason and causing stress when we get off our butts every day and go to work as well as looking after our children its a joke, we have done nothing wrong and get all this0 -
I agree with you totally witter.I am a single parent of 3,did nt ask to be on my own but my ex husband !!!!!!ed off yrs ago with someone else and left me to it.I ve always worked, first part time and then decided to go full time even though i have 3 children and am shattered everyday.I did nt start claiming childcare until i started fulltime work and after all this and specialist letters and review, feel bad in claiming childcare. The government encourage you to work and they ll cover some childcare but then when you do it they interrogate you in this way,its a nightmare.I went through a review last yr which lasted 6 mths and after baring my soul all was found to be ok but the reason for it was because my childcare was quite high and the reason now is because my childcare is high until aug when it halves but do they want me to work or sit on my bum all day??I ve done nothing wrong but lose a husband, work fulltime, always given the truth on my income, etc but still receive a specialist letter after my review end of last year was all clear and fine.Does nt make sense!Going back to a previous statement i put on here, why does nt the inland revenue do what the previous agency before them did and make you send your payslips in with your application and pay it as they did into your wage.If they don t trust you then this would solve this issue and if they don t trust you why don t they pay childcare direct to the childcare provider. This would save money on extra resources within the inland revenue and the no need for compliance teams.Does it need a single parent to come up with this idea to solve errors, etc.Madness all of it and stressful even though everyone innocent and trying to get by!!0

Hiya rightmadam, i'm the same 3 children, pay weekly childcare for 2 which is quite high but what do they expect they say it has to be ofsted registerd otherwise maybe alot of peoples wouldnt be so high, i totally agree they should do it as the old system did. It would stop all this hassle and worry. I bet the people on benifits arnt sat stressed out with all this, i was on benifits after my partner left me with the children i was sent a letter to attend a work focased interview and she did a calulation about how better off i would be to go to work, i went straight out a week later i was back in work full time and have been for 3 years. now i'm feeling it would be easier to go back to benifits and stop all this i cant think straight and its the children that suffer not having my full attension when i'm at home coz my mind hasnt stopped since getting this stupid letter. They need to sort there selfs out and think before sending random letters to people and stressing working mums out. As if we dont have enough on our plates with out all this0
