Just been to look at the Lloyds TSB website re £50. Do they give you the £50 for opening an account to start off with or is it just recommends? Do you get the £50 if opening a new account then £50 for each recommendation. Can someone please post the link. Thanks.

You have to switch account to get this £50 and its after 2 months I think.

  • I just called them and they told me they would send a pack, but that I needed to send in the coupon with my application. I just put on a dippy blonde voice (not tricky, as I am one) and said I had put all my newspapers out for recycling yesterday. The very nice man said I shouldn't worry, he would send me everything anyway and make a note that I had really seen it in the Times!
  • By the way what is this coupon? has anyone actually seen it apart from Martin? If I know the date of the ad I might be able to locate the coupon.

I have at the advert in front of me, actually in my hand right now there is no coupon that all it is a straight advertisement there is nothing to cut out and sending it is just an advert was at the bottom left of the page with a black first direct logo and the details of the offer.

Underneath that there is some text. If they ask you for the coupon, say 'there is no coupon' it is just an advert!

    Cheeky devils!
