First direct just sent me a leaflet offering £50 if you open their account until 31 Oct 05. If you ring (0800 242424) or apply via the net use reference number LV189 when prompted. For those lucky enough to get a leaflet the ref number is slightly different LV190.

And as a bonus, they are a wicked bank. I get texts when interest is added to my acc, the service is second to none and the process of getting the account great.

What all of 0.1% if you don't pay £1000/month into the account or maintain a balance of £1000 and a massive 2% if you do?

I opened a first dirct account afew months ago. I didnt need to pay in £100 just pay money into the account and then I was credited £25. then I recieved a flyer saying reccomend a friend and get another £25. i got my boyfriend to open an account but no addtional credit. have I done something wrong shouls i just quit now and close the account or is it worth pushhin. I dont think i can find any paperwork with the conditions on
