You need to remove privilege, screentrade & Lloyds. I'd suggest adding Caufield - ClickCI.co.uk - beat my next best (inc legal) of 350 (AA/confused) by some £91!!! (£259 - 27, 7 years NCB, Sep 1999, 1299cc, ie 1.3 non i, Fiesta Finesse, £800)Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

My car insurance is due for renewal this month and the company I am with quoted me £360. I seen an advert on the tv for Caulfield Insurance, clickci.co.uk, and they quoted £323.14 online. Although since I have a restricted license, 3 year medical license, I will have to contact them to see what affect it will have on the insurance. Will let yous know what price they come up with.0

Insurance due this month. Used confused.com last year and Endsleigh were cheapest @ about £215 for fully comp with protected bonus [1998 Mondeo 2 litre Ghia. 60 + with many years NCB]. Renewal notice just in and they want £306 this year!!!!!!!!!! Tried their own website and it came out as £236!!!!!!!!
Contacted them but that seemed to be their best offer.
Tried comparethemarket.com and TESCO and M&S were below £200 in their quotes. Now tried clickci.co.uk {Caulfield} and have been quoted £184.0 -
I would get further quotes by going through quidco. My fully comp insurance was with Direct Line which cost me £210 with £60 cash back through quidco.0

I just got fully comp (1.6 ltr engine), (12yrs) no claims protected, free legal expenses and admin charges from Abby for £323 for both me and himself, as my named driver.
It's with Allianz Cornhill who I've been with for a few years now. I might have got it cheaper online but because I have my house insurance with abby too I get free travel insurance. Himself had a bump last year (cracked someone else's bumper), Allianz fixed the other car and have it down as a no fault accident and didn't ask us for the access which I think is pretty decent.
I also get a breakdown recovery policy for £17.50 which covers me for 1 hr free roadside labour, tow home or garage, transport to destination or hotel room and homestart in all of the Uk and ROI.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
I got renewal in for a 2005 Xsara Picasso at £381.
Confused.com gave Endsleigh best at £270 but large excess and no legal or breakdown.
Just got wonderful quote from Caulfields Insurance (clickci.co.uk) including legal and breakdown with £250 excess for £236.32 :rotfl:
Just had to tell somebody!!!!!0 -
I have been with EA Davies for years-their service is excellent but the renewal quotes are rediculous-what i always do is use a comparison website & direct line for quotes. Then go back to EA Davies who so far have always matched or bettered the best price I have found elsewhere and usually get it for half the price of the original renewal quote.
At renewal time I was a 23 year old male having held my licence for 3 years and having 4 years no claims bonus (Had my own policy while learning as my mum doesn't drive so my friends took me out for some lessons). My better half who is a named driver on the policy was a 22 year old female having held her licence for 4 years with no no claims bonus.
Car is a December 2004 Corsa 1.2 twinport (1229cc).
Renewal price: £820
Actual price after haggling: £309 fully comp. with breakdown, legal and £100 excess!!!0 -

They advised me to go back online and click a button which allowed me to show that I had a 3 year medical license. The price came back the same. I then telephoned the company I am with now and they said they would match it but it was definitely the best they could do. Next time I think I will say £10 less, see what they say. :j
Try clickci.co.uk, they seem very cheap and they have an advertisement on the tv, that is where I heard of them, I have no connection to them.0 -
Not that I've ever actually changed to their cheapest option - I've just used it to beat my existing insurer's price down - and it has always worked0
