Forget about Directline. They don't touch under 22 year olds in NI.

Have you considered getting your daughter to do her advanced driving test? It really lowers the cost of insurance and isn't supposed to be difficult.

There's a Belfast insurance company called Adelaide Insurance who specialise in this area (as well as motorbike insurance). My brother did his advance driving test and got his insurance with them for £250 for a year (he's 25).

We paid £1200 for an 28 year old male driver so I wouldn't be surprised a 17 year olds to be double that.

btw we use Hughes & co, they gave us the best price for a first time car owner.

I dont think that scheme is working any more- site is "under construction"

If this is recognised as a real problem in NI - it should be encouraged
(seems specially for young male drivers)

Try Prudential, they give £130 cashback via Quidco and are surprisingly cheap in the first place. 19 y/o male, 1 claim, 1 years NCB, £650 TPFT
Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

The Bronze Challenge - earn £250 in profits =£73.32
