yoohoo where is everyone???
I have turned into MSE and no doubt. Needed some new white teeshirts, as they always start to lose that bright white look. Had my voucher from M&S via Valued Opinions. One teeshirt in M&S was £9.50......................went to Primark, got 3 for £5.50.........never been there before, am I getting good or what?
I came on here to have a bit of a rant about Santan ******der!!:mad::mad:
Got another phone call from a really snotty guy. Didn't know he was snotty at first and when he asked the security questions, I thought I might as well be nice and explain AGAIN about the DMP. He was HORRIBLE!! In the end I said goodbye and put the phone down. Jumped up little bu**ar!!
And breathe....;)
Anyway, rant over and happy Bank Hol weekend to everyone. :TDebt = HUGE! LBM March 2010:idea:DMP starting May 2010:jWe are now proud to be dealing with our debt!!0 -
Afternoon everyone
Woke up this morning to 3 letters from Northern Rock.
1st letter stated that the DD had been refused contact them on 0845......
2nd letter stating that payment was overdue make payment immediately
3rd letter informing me that I had defaulted and a charger of £30 has be charged to my acccount.
I phoned these guys on Thursday evening so I guess these letters are computer generated and as they have not had official notification from CCCS that I am on a DMP and had the ref no. I guess this is the norm.
Still it was daunting just struggling to come to terms with all this.
Should I phone them again on Tuesday or just wait for CCCS to contact them?
Have a good weekend everyone out there.
File it all away and forget for now - though you might want to see if you can get them to cancel the £30 when you are up and running....yep normal... the systems just keep spitting out the letters, they'll keep coming certainly until they receive notification from cccs and possibly until they've had the first payment via cccs. Some keep sending them even though the've accepted the DMP and have stopped interest and charges, we had one asking for the arrears from March and April the two months we've been paying via cccs today!
Don't worry you have been very good taking the initiative and phoning them!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Skinflinto, these guys are probably on commission which probably makes them very grumpy. If they realise that you're not going to cough up extra, they ain't gonna earn extra, iyswim? Don't let it get to you, have you tried calling them young man, I find it works beautifully, they hate it!!!
Mikon they definitely sound like a computer throwing out letters, don't worry and I wouldn't bother phoning, just sit tight. It will be OK, really.
Am I the only person in the world who doesn't normally shop in primark??? Oh how stuuupid I was, how really stooopid. Well names, DopeyMore than Two Years in

Well we have finally done it:eek: have written all the letters and enclosed token payments saying we will begin the dmp in June. We are going the self administered route. I have cancelled all the DD's. I feel sick and relieved all at the same time. Hopefully they will all accept. Our main creditor is HSBC who we have a cred card, OD and loan. Has anyone had any dealings with them? We are both worried about the possibility of debt collectors knocking on the door. As for our credit rating, I am sure that was already shot to pieces! I know I am just rambling now:rotfl:I suppose I just want someone to say we have done the right thing, but in any case we couldn't carry on the way we were. I am sure the hardest bit is yet to come:oStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Played the Aldi 'Beat the cashier' game today, DH has now got the hang of the trolley - think we ended up with a draw, I kept up but couldn't beat her. Still well stocked up on the Wackos and crisps with the little bags of salt in!:):)

Julie You've done the hard part, realising that you had a wee problem, its all downhill now cos you're fixing your problem. It can be a bit of a rollercoaster, but in the end its got to be easier than worrying yourself all the time. So its a bank holiday weekend, so chill and forget until Tuesday, keep posting and let us know how you get on, any problems, someone else will probably have had the same one.

Hi Julie - The hardest bit's over - accepting there is a problem and deciding how to deal with it. You HAVE done the right thing! HSBC is one of our creditors, they have stopped interest and knocked charges on the head - its a cc debt. Honestly the start of the process was hairy ( is that how you spell that when you mean ) as PDD said a bit of a rollercoaster but plenty of help and advice or just virtual hand holding on here to get you through!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
