Unfortunately not, but I'm not really that bothered TBH, It's just cheered me along to know that they probably will accept if/when I am in the position where I can offer for F&F.0

Hi everyone
Had a bit of a sick feeling day today. I have sent letters and token payment to all of my creditors I rang a couple of creditors Argos and Northern Rock about the DMP. NR were quite understanding and informed me that charges and interest cannot be frozen until CCCS contact them. ARGOS listened to what I had to say and again said they cannot freeze interest or charges until DMP agreed they both asked me to get a letter of authority to them stating that CCCS can speak on my behalf. Both offered me there in house financial debt service and possibly reduction in payments for 6 to 12 months but I told them I would follow CCCS DMP. I also asked both creditors to remove my telephone number from my account/records. Argos responded by telling me that they do not pester people as they know you cannot pay so what is the point NR made a note so hopefully that will help.
One final note is what is Lower Debt Management Plan what is the difference between a DMP and a Low DMP.
Feeling pretty down and sick tonight. I just hope I have done the right thing.
2 down 8 to go.

You have done the right thing, not sure quite where you're up to at the minute I'm afraid, but I'm assuming you're waiting fir the CCCS Welcome Pack?
once you get that there's a letter you can send out to creditor's telling them all about CCCS, and you don't actually have to ring any creditors (I didn't), write to them, that tells them everything they need to know, without adding to your stress levels.
I think Low DMP just means you're paying a low percentage of the total debt as a monthly payment IYSWIM, but don't worry about that for now. The important thing is you're heading in the right direction now0 -
Same goes for you to Albie0

that all sounds positive, of course they won't stop interest until CCCS contacts them and usually until they have received the first payment. They just want to make sure that you really are going on a DMP and not just saying you are to get them off your back. So a good start and positive conversations. CCCS will send the authority to them and also all the info you need to get started. The letters you send are just to get you in the holding pattern so that CCCS can act on your behalf and they send everything electronically so it is quick. Low start DMPs are just that, as the time goes on, hopefully your income will increase and you will be able to pay more or offer F&Fs thereby increasing payments to the non F&Fed creditors. So chin up, have a wee drink and think positive thoughts, its going well.More than Two Years in

Albiebabes
Thank you for the comforting words. I just wish all my creditors agree to my DMP. But I know that is not going to be easy. Then there is the worry of the Debt Collection Agencies.
The reason I ask about the Low DMP and the DMP is that on my SOA if I amend it by £5.00 ie reduce the money available at the end of the month ie £628 down to £623 my debt remedy changes from a DMP to either an IVA or low DMP I just do not understand why?
Thanks Albiebabes once again.Mikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j

Walked into next today...felt like some sort of alarm should have gone off, should have been in disguise etc!! Walked out again very quickly!
CCCS said not to sign the agreement that they were being cheeky - they should have signed agreement already - as PDD sid they are trying to make them enforceable incase we go down that route...also the reduced payment agreement is a different amount on mine to the cccs payment so they wondered if they were trying to make me agree to extra cash too but by dirty means iyswim.DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20
