Blue you are making good progress!
Regret & Andy - Good news!
True - great news on fuel bills. Dodgy hugs for putting up with MIL
Jeddy - fingers crossed for HSBC
I've come home to a letter from M & S, agreeing to DMP with 0% interest for one year.
Then had 3 calls from text machines, non interactive saying my debt (oh yes ?which!!!!!!) has been passed on to debt collection agency who will be 'attending' my home. Gives me a number for Philips to call. Have googled it and apparently this number keeps you on for 30 minutes and charges you a small fortune. Not sure if creditors have to rell you if they have passed it on and who to? I would have gone to pieces just a week ago but have learnt so much of here I know it's unlikely they will come and what to do if they do. Worse thing is am dreading them calling if I have a pal here, damn. Any clues anyone?

Just waiting for some up to date balances in writing and I'm off...
Looks like we won't starve and the kids won't have to wear jeans 5 inches above their ankles...

About the DMP, the budget being good and the computer working again eventually, you must feel so good knowing its all getting going after the token tango!
You'll be missing the calls from the creditors before you know it!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

well i filled in my online form with cccs yesterday and have today rung all my creditors and made token payments. it all seemed a bit easy today and the creditors seemed to be quite accepting of my payments (apart from natwest!!) but we will see once cccs get involved.
feel very nervous now about the whole thing!
Well done Regret - it'll get easier and soon it'll feel a hundred times better than before you started dealing with your debt. Don't feel nervous yu are doing fab!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

I told them that a DMP via CCCS on my behalf was coming their way , and as I was due to make a payment in the next 10 days, here's a reduced pro-rata cheque, in line with the offer that will be in the DMP.
Just waiting for the paperwork from CCCS now, and then presumably a few rucks with creditors along the way.
THANKS SO MUCH for the support you lot, it really helps to share with people who 'get it'. Mrs Snapper is on board but can't stand to talk about it , and I have been able to confide in friends and family (yet?), it all feels like such a screw-up !
Loving the in jokes and jargon now, Mrs Snapper wanted to rename out house - while we still live in it- as "$h1t creek". So I guess a paddle is in order.
Waitress, I 'll have the paddle please!
Next priorities: cut costs, earn more, re-fuel pigs with aviation gas.....
BS Out
Maybe we could have some house signs made up, personalised with our paddle numbers....go down a storm on ebay.....now how would we list them.....and would we have to have an image too?????
You're storming ahead with all this Bluesnapper! The only thing that would be a screw up would be not dealing with it!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
 I've paid something off!!! Gas and electricity arrears are gone, gone, gone!! Woop woop!! :j
Yaay True!:T:T:T:T
:beer:Did you take something with you to celebrate the final token postal order experience?
:eek::eek:Ex MIL, Difficult one there, don't envy you that decision, would Jack want to go with them if he was asked? I'd let him decide!
Those puppies sound so cute.....we'd love a pet, especially dd who really wants a kitten but is aiming for a hamster, just terrified of the vets bills that go with them! Poor dd keep telling her we have two small animals already - the Boys:rotfl::rotfl:DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Morning guys, hope you all had a good weekend.
Just playing catch-up - Teds good luck with CCCS, they're really quite wonderful and will definitely put any worries to rest. Let us know how you get on :grouphug:
No news from me, just a red arrears letter from Next, which I'm assuming is computer generated as they've agreed to CCCS plan....I hope so anyway!
Spend Saturday at a friends wedding....nothing feels better than being one of the lonely females waiting to catch the bouquet *sigh*...
....fingers crossed if we move (rent) in Aug a shiny diamond ring may follow soon after
I'm onto my second red arrears communication from next - makes no sense although they have refunded some charges- they've re sent the letter asking me to sign agreeing to a reduced payment plan and a credit agreement:eek:cccs said not to sign so i'm guessing that's still the same!
Ooooh shiny diamond shopping!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Hope I've not missed anyone out! Have to go as Dh is hovering like darth vader over my shoulder?! Will be better paddler tomorrow!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20

Hi everyone
http://www.lendingstandardsboard.org.uk/docs/lendingcode.pdf
Here is an interesting link. The previous link I posted did not work. Have a read of this it is very interesting and gives you an insight into how banks & cc companies should deal with their customers.
The link below shows the financial organisations that have committed to following the above code.
http://www.lendingstandardsboard.org.uk/subscriberlist.php
I hope this helps people and re assures people that the banks cannot hassle you they must abide by certain standards.
Good Luck to all particular the new starters like myself.Mikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j
