I'm exactly the same Vic!! Love dogs and cats! My kitten has hit a year old already bless him so he's off for the snip next week poor little man and my doggles is just a lush bless her (she's a weird cross too, German Shepherd x Shar Pei) I just can't resist puppies!
Do you have a move in date yet??
BFs parents dog had the snip a couple of weeks ago (they were getting frisky with each other, which is a bit wrong!! :rotfl:)
Because we're renting we haven't actually started looking yet! Planning on moving in August, wanted to get DMP up and running for a few months (started in April) and the save a bit of cash for bits and pieces.
Still worried about BFs job - he's a plumber, so self employed, and work was non-excistent at the beginning on the year but he now seems settled working at a site in Knightsbridge, VERY posh flat (£250k for a PARKING SPACE !) but my thinking is that if we don't bite the bullet and do it, I'll be living at home when I'm 40! You never know what could happen with job, you've just got to go with it!! Eek!Paddle No 16

Oh and I'm getting those spam emails, always from Halifax, I've NEVER had a account with them and the spelling/grammar is always awful so you can tell straight away!Paddle No 16

Hi guys,
Quick question I am filling in my personal details on the cccs form online, a bit daunted at the last question "reason for dept", the truth is I have just overspent on credit cards and do not have the funds to repay it and live! I was going to put the "over committed on credit" option, is that ok or would they look at it in a not so sympathetic way?
Thanks in advance, sorry havnt been getting on much, really trying hard to get all the stuff done and its taking up all my free time.LBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -

I was undecided between over commited and used credit for living expenses. I opted for used credit for living expenses. Over commited to me means you applied for credit and now can't repay, while I got into my situation mainly by credit card companies constantly increasing my credit limit without my approval, and we all know how tempting that is!
Does that make sense?Paddle no. 12
DMP start 1st April
Debt at LBM £23,0000 -
Yes LJM that does make sense I am the same the more they gave me the more I used and I basicly now do use them for living as i have absolutley no income left for living after paying all the bills.
ThanksLBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -
Well thats it I've finally done it i've submited my online form to go on a DMP:j
I feel like doing a wee jig:rotfl::rotfl:
Have all my letters printed off to send token payments i will get them off in tomorrows post and will phone tax credits and child benefit to change account details (does anyone know can child benefit be paid weekly)? Then its just the dreaded moving of the DD's.
And a big thankyou to all of you :T you really have been amazing I dont think I could of went through with it without all the help, advice and reassurance you have given me, i know there will be alot more ups and downs to come and i will needs you all alot more to help and reassure me, but  for helping me to this first step.LBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -

Yay!! Great news Andy!! :T:T:T
You've taken the first steps to becoming debt free...feels great doesn't it!?
It'll still be a bit horrible, while all your creditors throw all their toys out the pram but once it's settled down it's much planer sailing
Hope it all goes well, keep us posted xPaddle No 16
