Don't know about going to court, but I think it is very unlikely they would want to know this at the moment, remember that a DMP is an unofficial agreement, so basically you can do what you like with your money as long as you make your payments. Would be madness not to save for emergencies and even more madness for anyone to try to stop you. so go for it. Do you have a co-op cashminder? they have a wee savings account which runs alongside and transfers instantaneously into your current account online, so its very handy.

Ooh just had my first creditor phone call, from Egg. Went really well actually. I quickly explained that we were setting up a DMP with PayPlan, and he asked if I had the reference number. I didn't have it to hand, so he asked me to call back with it, and they would then take me off the dialler lists for 30 days, so we could get it set up.

He was helpful and polite - hope they're all like this!

Being a bit carp recently, no DMP news to share, still on tokens although DH new job has started so roll on 15th May first payday!! Plus I've been "promoted" :S to manager of the chippy so as of June I get a bit of a payrise! Hoping, fingers toes and eyebrows crossed to start DMP proper on 1st June...currently being v jealous of Teddy

Egg were like that with us, no problems with them at all, stopped interest as soon as they received the first payment from CCCS, wish they were all so simple.

Well done True, Manager of the chippy, does that mean pals get freebies???

nothing much happening here either, just awaiting termination, incorporation or something from RBS, then they'll stop interest and that will be the full house, all 22 sorted!!!!

I've decided to try to schedule my day a bit better so I get on here every day - its working so far!

Is anyone else really glad to be broke and therefore not able to go on holiday at the mo?? Firstly for the gorgeous weather at home and secondly because of all the whohaa with this ash cloud?? I was fondly remembering the more affluent days when I would spend most of April in the Canary Islands before the sun came out and the volcano errupted (sp?)!!!
