Arrgh just typed a big reply and lost it to a server blip. Don't pay those bills, send a token of £1 or £2 with a letter saying you are entering a DMP with CCCS, include your CCCS number if you have one. Don't send your incomings and outgoings, CCCS will deal with that. If you are not in your overdraft, don't go in to pay other creditors, pointless. And don't wait until Monday to speak to CCCS, get it started tomorrow!!!!More than Two Years in

Mikon, welcome. Your CCCs agreement will be with you in a matter of days. A few days will not make any difference to the Creditors. You can pick a lot up, a sense of whats normal, the lows, highs and most of all support and hope from what you will read here. I also found this other dmp thread really useful over the past few weeks http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1735087

Thank you for responding.
Are you telling me not to send the token payment until I have my DMP plan in place?
Best wishes MikonMikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j

Mikon don't not pay anyone, its important you always appear to be trying to pay your debts, even if it is only a token payment, so send the token with your letter to these guys, and get CCCS sorted out tomorrow. Good luckMore than Two Years in

PDD thanks I am looking for a template now and will send a £2 token payment to both Barclays and CITI. Then speak to CCCS tomorrow and get the DMP up and running. If you have a template or know where i can find one I would appreciate your help.

Mikon - I agree with what everyone has advised so far, most important though, only send token payments now £1 each, no more, to each creditor, if you do have any spare cash, stash it as an emergency fund.
The only creditor we have in common is Barclaycard, and from the phone calls they where ok really, we have 3 barclaycards and 2/3 have stopped interest and agreed. If the phone calls are getting to you unplug the phone
I honestly wish I'd done this ages ago, when I first started I'd have major wobbles nearly every day, but now I'm not worried about things anywhere near as much.0 -
Oh and check CCCS website if you haven't already, they do an online debt remedy thing, have a play about with that.
And National Debtline's good for template letters.0
