Morning morning morning lovely peeps!!
The sun is shining again - can you tell it makes me happy?!?
Hi Mikon, agree wholeheartedly with everyone's advice - just shout if you come up against any problems, there is usually one or other of us around to help! Prof Pat's letter really works - I'm going to be self managing and I used a slightly amended version and the only phone calls I still get are from CrapOne, but I'm fairly certain they can't read so I don't answer. The main thing is try not to worry. Setting this up is the best thing you will ever do, the relief is palpable. It's great being in our boat because we share all the highs and lows and we all know that we'll get thereplus we're learning how to build rafts and escape if it all gets too much :rotfl:
Signature duly amended Nat - thanks babe
Right - sun is calling, be back later - :grouphug: mwah xxPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

Quiet in here today, probably due to the site being out for awhile this morning.
BC have sent me May's bill. They are accepting the Pay Plan money but did charge nearly £54 interest, better than £162 from previous months I guess:( Since I am only now paying them £158 1/3 is interest.:eek: The total bill will at least come down, not go up as it was before.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -
Hi everyone
Woke up this morning and thought to myself I feel better today after yesterdays chat on here and the Professors letters. I typed the letters and they are winging their way to my creditors (what a letter and a half it is). Need to make the phone calls but you know what i feel better. I can start living without having to rob peter to pay paul. Cut up the credit cards and cremated them it felt great.
Now i am starting a new chapter in my life and will definitely keep checking in daily to see how you are all getting on and hopefully help people in the future.
Thanks everyone.
Mikon

Ive just received my BCard april statement today as well. Looks like they are too accepting my CCCS DMP but are still adding 3% interest. What worries me now tho is they say to continue paying agreed monthly payment of at LEAST £40.67 but CCCS amount is £40.10. only 57p over but what happens when they dont get full amount. I've emailed CCCS to ask if they will up my payment to them by 57p which I doubt as it will mean them getting different treatment to my other creditors. But if they get less than they want what happens then. I'm starting to panic now and it has been such a calm ride as well.0 -
Hi everyone, I just got my first statement from barclaycard since the phone stalking incident and the *&^%!!!s are charging 3% interest.
I know its not too bad and they are my smallest credit card debt (2 smaller catalogue ones) but I only was paying 9% interest before. Oh well, could be much worse, its an extra 2.76 per month.....
Ive just posted them same BCard are charging me 3% as well. Do the extra interest mean they wont received the full agreed amount from you. Sorry not sure if you are going it alone or with CCCS/Payplan.0 -

Well done you!! :T
Cutting your cards up is such a great feeling! We are in our first month of a DMP. We've had ups and downs but it was definitely the right decision.

Well done Mikon, knew you would feel better if you got it sorted.
Wonder if Barclaycard are changing their minds about DMPs, mine and the OH's are at 0%, 3% isn't too bad, BofS and Lloyds are charging us 6%, got to be better than what we were paying previously thast is for sure.
Skinflinto they do good cakes there, I was just walking through and all these boxes just leapt into my arms, honest!More than Two Years in
