Morning all
Candy & Gibbs - shame Bcard didn't got to zero but at least it's in the right direction. Is it worth giving it 3 months then writting again to ask them to reconsider?
I had my first letter back from a creditor yesterday, didn't specifically reference DMP just said they had made a note of my letter to them and have placed restrictions on my account, asked that I cut up the card. Hmmmm my pleasure! Keeping my fingers crossed the restriction includes 0% interest!
Have a good day all

Morning all!!
Sorry about the eye PDD *flings another pudding for doggles*
Well done Mikon!! That feeling is what we've all been talking about - really happy for you :j!!
Mama - emergency fund!! Urgent!!
I'm glad I'm not with Barclaycard, but its good news that they have dropped interest right down, hopefully they'll cut interest all together once they've received a few months payments.
Everything is still really quiet on my DMP plans, I'm bored of sending tokens thats for sure, really want to start making proper payments!! Really don't feel like I'm getting anywhere sending them a quid each, especially as I've just had a play with CCCS Debt Remedy again, including DH's and my payrises and it came back saying "you can afford to make all your repayments, keep it up!" Felt like crying to be honest, 5 months of torture and sh*tty letters and phone calls and default notices and now that! Don't know what to do now... I'm sure its not right, I mean my budget shows that I have about £200 to make debt repayments while the "orginal" payment amounts are around the £700 mark - seriously hoping that I've done something wrong....
I know Santander/CrabbyNational have stopped interest, HSBC have stopped applying charges but are still sticking about £6 a month interest on, CrapOne are ignoring me as much as I am ignoring them and I think they are still slapping 34.9% or something hideous like that on and HFC are still at 22% and I can't remember the rest. I know we've defaulted on HSBC, Crabby and CrapOne and one other, Provident I think so our credit rating is already shot to pieces. ARGH brain ache!!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
ps getting worried that I won't be able to pay this 1% minimum that the creditors keep talking about..anyone been accepted for paying less???
Hi Ted
Stop worrying hun!
Ours all are less than 1% minimum just find the hiding calculator and tell you exactly...0.67% - the percentage hasn't been mentioned as an issue despite my worries - apart from m&s - they agreed for 12 months because of it. Most of the 15 have accepted, for now. Only the very low balances are still charging adding interest, and they IF overdraft ( but they haven't received anything yet as they changed the info i gave cccs and so no money went inot he account last month.)

Hope you figure out where the miss match in your figures is True! I can't think what to suggest, have your expenses gone up with payrises??? Sorry hopeless, want to the numbers for you to take the stress off you having to put them all in again iyswim. You're self managing though aren't you True, or am I mixed up(more often than not - yes) so cccs threasholds don't matter so much perhaps. It seems if your payments are too close to the minimum payment interest and charges don't get stopped....only from reading others experiences as our payments are about a sixth of the minimum for most of the big boys!
We are still heading down your way - 1st week in august, we got a private rental in the end so that brought the price down:DThanks for looking for us:T:A...although feel like we shouldn't have done it now, with the lack of emergency fund:eek: but it was a low deposit that swung dh in the end and he just went ahead and booked!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

True - I agree with Mama. Hope something is missing so that you can sort it. Do you keep a spending log to compare against your budget? If so that may help you to identify the shortfall and then you could discuss further with CCCS.
I have had two more letters that I need to speak to CCCS about on Monday. One from Tesco asking for SOA and an explanation of why I am in debt. Assume CCCS will tell me that they will send the letter. The other was from MBNA, agreeing to drop interest from 30% to 8.9% and to suspend late charges this all being subject to periodic review. Two snags with the letter, 1) asks for payment by the 12th and if they don't get by then they will cease the programme. I have seen this in posts before and CCCS usually say it will be ok so keeping my fingers crossed. 2) They say they are going to report the arrangement with credit reference agencies for upto six years after the balance has been settled in full. - does anyone have any information on this guys? I thought they had to issue a default and it was 6 years from that being issued, not 6 years after final clearance. Not that I ever want credit in future but would like to shop for a better mortgage rate in a few years time. Advice please!0 -
thanks True caught that one!!!
go Mama to Cornwall, told you a private let (sounds a bit daring???) would be cheaper, no booking charges etc.
Calm down True, there must be a mismatch somewhere, do it again and look at everything carefully, are you sure you've covered all the yearly bills (ie tv licence, car tax insurance etc) and enough to feed you all ? Is there anything you've forgotten, I was allowed to put in £150 towards DS's uni fees and against our contact lenses and prescriptions. Look again honey, you must have gone wrong somewhere but calm, not worth your blood pressure.
We dn't pay 1% either Ted and no one seems to have bothered, ours is about the same as Mama's, M&S did mention it but still stopped interest, so don't worry.
I have been terminated/incorporated/whacked by RBS on both accounts and have now received letters saying that they will no accept DMP as long as I am good, hallelujah
Thanks folks, back is much better, I have stopped groaning (people were looking!!!) and am now nearly straight iykwim
Sun is shining here in Scotland, at last so going to catch up and read paper on deck!More than Two Years in
