Blimey you lot are such a chatty bunch, just caught up. Been busy with kids and DH stole my laptop... what did I do before computers???
Not a stich happening on DMP front this week. Its almost as if it doesnt exist which is quite nice
On the veg front we recently joined Land Share, a scheme to match people with spare land to those who want to grow but dont have anywhere to do it. And to my surprise someone has replied. They have a field (not sure how big yet) that their parents used to grow veg in and they said we can have it, as long as we give them some of our produce. Im so excited. In our old house we built two raised beds and had everything from pumpkins to potatoes to leeks and salad but this new house is a gardeners nightmare, one very large concrete terrace. Cant wait to get all muddy again, although its gonna have to be a freecycle job otherwise all our money will disappear!
If it all works out you can check us out on our blog, will let you all know how it goes when we meet them on sat.Debt at LBM - £11,505Debt 2011 = [STRIKE]8K[/STRIKE] £7760 - DF in July 2013DMP Paddle no. 1 Sealed Pot No. 1375Grocery Challenge Aug £418.31/£450 Sept £ /£4500 -

Hello everyone:wave:
I had an e-mail from Payplan today asking when I want to talk to them about their proposal of a DMP. I booked a call for next Tuesday 7pm and need to get together a list of questions by then..has anyone got any advice what to ask in order to get the most out of the "session"? One thing I would be interested to know is, if your DMP runs over 6 years and you haven't re-paid all of the debt yet, but any defaults "drop off" your credit record at the 6 yr point, how does this impact on things i.e poss new mortgage etc?Debt £22k (ish):eek:LBM April 2010DFD - work in progressPaddle no. 26"whether you think you can or you can't, your probably right"0 -
Honestly don't know. But Payplan are totally cool and should be able to help you with almost any question. Check out Justabank if/when you start, is it ace. PPLBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.

Hi vic, Please be very very wary of HSBC doing this. i think they are getting you to consilidate, would all your debt be with HSBC if you did this if not, stay well away.
Lets us know what the CCCS said.
Hey NEwbeginning have you thought about Market research you can do it in your own hours, I was also a merchandisor that would go into stores. You get a call file and its down to you in what time you do it. It can be very flexible and each call can last 5 mins sometimes, you can also do external auditing as well. What part of the world are you in, if this appeals to you and i might be able to dig up some company names for you.
Heu skinto don't worry about santander all scare tatics i should imagine, and i bet the wording said we may or might its all a load of blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa blaaaaaaaaa blaaaaaaaa, hope your walk was good to clear your head.
Sending you all good tuesday feelings

good luck Ted, its great to see you off and running.
Ali I don't know the answer either, but when you get the answer, please let us all know cos it could be useful.
Vic let us know how you got on.
Gabriella good ideas, how's the weather in sunny Cyprus, you got lots of abandoned tourists??
Prof the justabank thing sounds fab, CCCS have something similar but justabank sounds more whizzy, I think I might be jealous
have a good day all, ricked my back yesterday so am hobbling to work like a small demented goblin, could do with a trolley from Aldi to get around as I look like a small humped bridge, it can't be natural???More than Two Years in

Morning!
Right, I've had a read through the letter from HSBC and will call CCCS at lunchtime.
Apologies if this is as clear as mud - basically, they're offering me a 'solutions loan which will combined my current borrowings into one loan' (although I only have one loan, no o/d or CCs with them).
'Consolidating your personal loan into one Loan will provide one monthly payment you can afford, which mean we can accept the offer of paying back £150.45' (this is £2 less that CCCS original)
Letter then goes onto say they've cancelled Maestro/Visa Debit cards and replaced with a new Visa debit card (what?) and I've been converted to a basic bank account.
Key financial info -
Amount of loan - £8370
Period of loan - 67 months
Total amount payable in this agreement - £10,080.51
Amount of repayment - £150.45
Date of first repayment - 25th May 2010
APR - 7%
Total charge for credit, comprising - £1710.51
Total interest - £1710.51
Arrangement fee - £0
Other points -
- Any arrears you hold on products being consolidated will be cleared
- Once the loan is set up and I start repaying, I can start repairing my credit with CRAs.
- Early settlement options 1/4 term, 1/2 term or 3/4 term
I think that's it in a nutshell. I won't waffle on any longer, just wanted to fill you all in, in case any of you get the same response from HSBC.
Will be back later once I've spoken to CCCS, have a good morningPaddle No 16

Hi, thanks for the job info guy's, I've had a look around the up your income board, but there's not to much there, I do surveys every now and then already so I've usually got a little stash of Boots/Amazon Vouchers. I live in Yorkshire (think it was Gabriella that asked - apologies if I'm wrong)
Glad to hear things are moving for you Ted, let us know how you get on.0
