Hi all, thanks for your bits and pieces of advice and support.
Well found out from occupational health that my job is not at risk regardless of what happens so massive weight off my mind. So now all i got to worry about is where to find 17k from
Cleaned out my loose change box today and found some coins already bagged in the cellar (thanks darling ex wife) spent an hour or so sorting and found £60 in change, straight in savings at the weekend towards emergency fund. Also thanks to someone for mentioning music magpie. I had never heard of it but have couple of hundred cd's over 100 dvd's plus various console games and a couple of old phones... again will be sorted and shoved into emergency fund.
Hurrah and got a gold sovereign to get rid of so that should be £100+. and i wonder where my debt has come from :rotfl:
All in all a better day but still havent had a chance to get up to date cc and loan statements sorted. Job for tomorrow when boss isnt looking i think.
Cheers

Need help as Barclaycard have decided to reinstate interest at 6.9%.
Sooooooooo for the £44 I pay via cccs £11 is taken in interest.

E2 have they upped what you were paying in interest or were you not paying any? They have been charging me since I started in April. £157 goes to them via Payplan and they then charge £54ish per month. So I am hoping they are not going to charge even more. Will admit to not being proactive and asking them to stop, but will after doing the DMP for a year and hope they show willing to see I am wanting to clear the debt.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -

Welcome to the thread David,
You're doing well and finding all sorts of loose change lying around, every little helps. Its not the end of the world and you will get through it, we all mostly have, DMPs are running well, UE is progressing and we're all surviving, so take heart from that.
and pleeease get that daft comment about being ashamed off your siggy, your human and you were a bit unwise, but hey, so were we all, don't beat yourself up about it, sort it!
good luck

thanks for comment re taking the ashamed off. I was feeling very ashamed yesterday but actually having spoken to my occu health has put my mind at ease as they said loads in my profession have problems so dont worry. Sad thing is i used to be a small business advisor a long time ago for high street bank..
oh well onwards and upwards and looking forward to when my only debt is my mortgage

Evening
I had interest suspended which I had hoped would be for some considerable time an not just five months.
I am going to dig the reply to my original complaint letter and see what the official Barclaycard line was on the interest suspension.
I can but try to get this stopped cos it messes up my Debt Free Day!

Mikon, if your around I need a letter!
Sharpish.
A VeryDisgruntled E2.
It's a battle, I went through BoS complaints dept via threats of the Ombudsman after they put interest back on in August. I pretty much pestered them by phone every day for 2 weeks until eventually they relented and defaulted all 3 cards to DCAs.
I think hassling them is the answer and don't give up until you get what is right, Mikon would testify to that I'm sure.
Good luck, just keep battling. PPLBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.
Paddle No. 5.
Debt at DMP start (May 1st '10) £54.9k, as of 1st Oct '11 £33.2k. 40% cleared.

Well done PPP
Smiling at the thought of pestering them - get our own back time :rotfl::T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T

Hello Everyone, sorry that I have not been around for a while but I'm so busy with work that when I get home I'm shattered!
Hi to all the newbies and good luck on your debt free journey's:)
Nothing much happening at our end apart from Mercers (Barcrapleycard) - they have stop harrassing us by phone but are now writing instead threatening us with a home visit and they haven't stopped interest which is now piling on as well as late fees and over limit fees:eek:
I really don't understand how these companies work? Both myself and my OH had Barcrapleycards - they stopped the interest on my card but passed my OH to Mercers and carry on applying interest with wild abandon!!
Anyway, CCCS are going to re-send our SOA and hope that they will stop the interest, fingers and toes crossed:o
I hope that everyone is well and not stressing too much about things
