Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
Check out the Old Style Board for Christmas ideas, people on there are brilliant at frugal this and frugal that.

    Also................

I'm sure there are plenty of people who have got througha DMP without a CCJ, thousands of people are on DMPs, they can't all have CCJ's surely?

Anyway, don't worry about things like that until they happen, its not worth the stress and worry. You don't need to worry about something that may not happen.

Get your DMP up and running, enjoy your new frugal lifestyle, kick back and think of the day you will be debt free.

Thats all that matters at the moment.

E2 (only 26 days till my next CCCS payment and number of debts drop from 9 to 8, bring it on)

Still waiting to hear back from CCCS, sent them all the documents they require last week.
The phone calls are WILD! . . . BUT not answering them at the moment! I have emailed all involved about my situation.

 "Should I answer the phone?"

Not sure what to do at the moment, worried about so many things, MY HOUSE!!, Christmas, food shopping and the rest!

    Bed now, work at 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi everyone, its been so long since I logged on here that I won't even try to catch up with the last 20 pages I missed!

DMP going same as before, minor issue with Next, just had to reset the payment plan. Just done my first Christmas shopping order on Amazon! Debit payment, credit free Christmas!

I hope to catch up with some old friends on here and sorry for being a lazy paddler recently!

Thanks everyone, its good to know you're all out there and so supportive of each other. Perhaps once the Halifax have received their first payment from the CCCS they will realise we are serious about sorting this debt out and fingers crossed they will react favourably. Our DMP is scheduled to last around 7 years and I would love to know if anyone has managed to get to the end of a DMP without a CCJ or Charging Order. This is such a scary time and with Christmas looming and no money for presents it could also be a bit depressing but I'm still glad we've taken this step and I'm sure someone on this site will have some good tips for a budget Christmas.
    Thankagain everyone.

I think the vast majority of people on DMPs these days (and there are thousands and thousands of them) will expect to finish their DMP without a CCJ or charging order. I certainly do.
Towards the end F and Fs mean it is highly possible that you finish before your due date. PPP

  • Hi all,

Haven't popped on for a while nice to see some Newbies and old back. Looks like your doing well Mikon.

Welcome Sadie and Sickas,:j you guys have already been given great advice by other paddlers. We've all been through what your going through phone calls, letters etc. You will get there and once it all beds down a bit the worry does subside. I'm nearly a year into my DMP and fortuantly have had no mishaps ( touch wood).

Nothing to report really have started a little xmas shopping but have told friends and family that its only token gifts or not at all. No credit card spending yippeeeee.
My little budget book is working a treat really helps when i draw money out and if i've used my card for those damned little shops for milk bread etc always £10 at least not good so Nov is a challenge to get that under control.

Right ironing is calling damm it i really cannot be bothered!!

  • Hi Gabs

Good luck with the budgetting it's a constant challenge isn't it. Most people I've told I want to go low key have been relieved and have been wanting to do so but daren't say so am a trail blazer!

Well when I say trail blazer, just been notified I have a speeding conviction, grrrrrrrr. No one to blame but myself!

Thanks for the tip off re the new site, will check it out now.

    Happy weekend everyone xx
