Every now and then DH has had a problem with the coop card, but no specific reason why. Maybe just a glitch in their system?MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Hi everyone!
Been away a while from here as I have been so busy with work but I am off for 2 weeks now and have not had much time to come on here.
Just got a final demand from HSBC demanding I pay the full outstanding £1500 on my overdraft in the next 18 days or further action ie: debt collectors or it may be referred to court (scare tactics from a computer generated letter) and in the meanwhile interest will be added to the account until further action is decided (squeezing every penny until it is sold on).
Phoned them and explained about the DMP (if they already didn't know) and also sent a letter by recorded delivery explaining my circumstances and that they are highly unlikely to change.
Anyone else had final demand letters? if so what did you do?
Apart from that all my other creditors seem to be ok as my loan (even though the agreement is still pending according to PayPlan) is being paid and no interest is being added. Likewise my credit card which has been accepted and interest frozen. Halifax have also frozen interest but I have to phone them in october to tell them my circumstances are the same so they don't go adding interest (I have to do this every 3 months). MBNA rejected the offer but put me on a 'hardship account thingy' which basically means they have stopped interest. So once the HSBC current account is passed over to DCA I can really steam on towards being debt free in the next 10 years!
Phew!
Hope everyone is ok!Paddle number 22

Hi everyone, hope everyone is o.k, I have a quick question, I have received my statement from Next and they are adding interest and a late payment charge, they havenot accepted mty payment ofer from Payplan so therefor because the payment is low the amount outstanding is going up, I have spoken to payplan about this and asked if I could just clear this amount as its only about 60.00 but they say that the rest of my crditors would not like this, but if I dont do something the amount is going to go up by at leat 6.50 per month has anyone got any suggestions20p savers club 2013#23 83.00 (2014 numer 6,70.00 pounds) 2036SPC No 6(2013) 182.34

Hi Anna,
This is common and I would phone Next. Tell them the date you pay PayPlan and the date that it clears and they may amend the payment due date to the day your payment clears. At least then you won't get a late fee. Also explain about the DMP and they may put you on file on a hardship (I think it's called that) account. There is no guarantee that interest will be stopped as by paying less than the agreed amount (and arrears) they will unfortunately add interest and if the interest is too high then contact PayPlan.
I had a similar problem with MBNA, they rejected the offer but accept my payments with interest frozen after they put me on a 'hardship payment'.
After a few months they will only sell the debt on to a either their in house collections or to an external debt collection agency. Don't be alarmed though as this is a good thing as 99.9% interest is frozen enabling you to pay off quicker. You may even be able to get a full and final offer to them as well.
Good luck!Paddle number 22

Well
Checked my online statement this morning and ONE DEBT HAS GONE!.
Yes as expected one of the PAyDAy Loans has been paid off. No news on how that amount will now be spilt amongst my other creditors, i'm assuming it will be split evenly between the other eight.
Quite a good feeling knowing i've made som progress, still a long way to go though. Thank you CCCS and everybody on hereI'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013
