Depends, have they really passed the debt on or is it an 'in-house' collections dept trying to make itself look like another company? If it REALLY has gone to a different company let CCCS know. If it's same company just next desk along file it with the rest ;)

Hope this makes sense to you 'cos I think I've just managed to confuse myself :o, think I may be getting tired ...

Thanks for the response. Yes I do understand.

    Hi all,

Just checking in and to pick your brains. OMG had a letter emblazed with MBNA on thought oh  here it comes 1st creditor asking for an increase after 6 months but it was them apologising saying they'd sent a statement in error and to ignore it. Has anyone else received this? I didn't even get the statement in question.

Not much else to report need to get pay day hurried up skinto flinto this month only 2 weeks to go phew, then i can make my 1st payment off the car and try and build a little bit for emergency fund.:T

Will be having a No Spend weekend as OH is working and on call so not going anywhere to spend any money!

    Hi gabs

we got three of the letters and three statements as well, which changed the payment dates to ones that didn't coordinate with the CCCS payments, so I am just ignoring them but keeping them in case they come back moaning about late payments.

What a total waste of time, paper , money

    Hey everyone,

I sent a letter to Grattan detailing our going onto a DMP with CCCS, sent a token payment, and received this reply.

Thank you for your letter regarding the above client.

We note your offer of repayment but upon further consideration, taking into account the balance outstanding and the length of time since the last payment, we cannot accept the offer.

Therefore the account will be pass to a group collectiion (their spelling mistake, not mine) service, who will contact your client shortly.

Now I wouldn't mind so much, but we have never missed a payment on any of our current commitments, and they last received a payment, in accordance with their statement.

Shall I just leave it and wait for the group collectiion! service to contact me?

Not one iota obviously, even though I have stated that I intend this to be short term and hope to return to full payments once OH has another job.

its a marker for the future, don't ever even consider dealing with them again and I wouldn't tell anyone (creditors) that you expect this to be temporary as they will just hound you for more money cos you've told them you expect to have some, so just keep quiet about that at the moment. If your OH gets another job, deal with it then.

Blooming dmp gremlins at it again - grabbed my mobilecand threw it down the toilet - honestly I was about 3m away from the bog and it just lept out of my hand! I pulled it apart and put it in the sun to dry but it is no more. Think I've destroyed all my old phones since dmp started this is the third disaster since Jan!!!!
