    Hi regret

phone CCCS, is i a formal default? and does it say they may/could take you to court?

It's not a default it says if I don't pay they will recommend to their client that they take mr to court.it looks like a more formal letter than I have had before.

Sounds a bit like a scare tactic (and it worked!!!), however you are suddenly not going to give birth to £3750 overnight so its a non starter. I would give CCCS a ring as they will have seen loads of these letters and would also send the letter Ted recommends. remember that these people have no idea what any other department does or what correspondence they send out. I know its difficult but try not to worry cos they can't have what you haven't got.

I just wouldn't be able to resist phoning and being sarcastic, but then that's me!!!

    Hi all,

Just checking in and to pick your brains. OMG had a letter emblazed with MBNA on thought oh  here it comes 1st creditor asking for an increase after 6 months but it was them apologising saying they'd sent a statement in error and to ignore it. Has anyone else received this? I didn't even get the statement in question.

Not much else to report need to get pay day hurried up skinto flinto this month only 2 weeks to go phew, then i can make my 1st payment off the car and try and build a little bit for emergency fund.:T

Will be having a No Spend weekend as OH is working and on call so not going anywhere to spend any money!

Hi I got the same letter but also no statement.......... very strange. Halifax still charging me interest will have to get around to writing to them but at the moment dont have the strength. Cant seem to remember seeing a Barclaycard statement for a while either maybe they have stopped sending them like Capital One.

My gas and elect supplier have decided to increase my monthly payment by £20 a month. I am fixed with them till end August so am hoping to switch. Has anyone had any problems doing this whilst being on a DMP. Not sure if they carry out credit checks or not as it really isnt classed as credit I dont think.

Started my DMP on 1st April when do you think CCCS will contact me regarding my review.

Had a missed call the other day at home when I 'googled' the number is was from Nationwide. Dont have anything with them so maybe it was a wrong number fingers crossed.

I did my annual review of fuel and i did it all online, no problems at all although the payment actually did come down by a whole £4 per month. I think they like to review six months in, they told me this morning we won't be reviewed again for a year.

don't worry about missed calls, they didn't get you!!!

Hi regret, I'm with Tesco so read this with interest and wonder if it's me next... that said I have had several letters about 'recommending' court etc, note it doesn't say that they will! You could write back recorded delivery and note your surprise at their letter as you are now through CCCS, have already notified them and as they are your appointed 3rd party rep please can they contact them directly as per OFT guidelines... OR, you could give CCCS a ring just to put your mind at rest over the weekend. (can't remember if you are with CCCs or Payplan) Or, do both!

    Ted x

Thanks ted,I just bit the bullet and rang them!explained I am in a dmp with cccs.I made a token payment of £1 and he said he would put the account on hold for a month and wait for cccs to contact them.

Phew panic Over for now at least

Thanks so much for your quick replies

    Xx

Cheers wouldnt have minded the call from nationwide as they arent one of my creditors so would have been fun.

Did CCCS ring you for review or just send letter in post.

Hi naomi, I don't know about Payplan, others on here may be able to help, but I'd give them a ring, put you mind at rest so you're not thinking about it over the weekend....hope you're doing ok.:)

hi ljm23k, how are the Summer hols going? Have you moved into relaxed mode yet?

Hi Ted, way too relaxed! There are 2 grubby loos and 3 stinky bedrooms needing attended to....

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh sod it, I'm putting the kettle on...

By the way, I don't seem to be getting any statements from Cap1, MBNA and now Barclaycard. Nothing from La Redoute either since DMP started as it went straight to DCA so just statements from Next and Halifax.

    Time for that tea....
