Hi Professor PP
I am expecting a statement next week so I will wait and see. In the interim the Financial Ombudsman has contacted me and advised that I give the 8 weeks to respond then make a formal complaint via the FO. The British Banking Authority has wrote to them on my behalf as they are subscribers to the Lending Code of Conduct so I hope this will resolve the matter or at least when the statement is received next week the interest has stopped.
Will keep you updated. Fingers crossed.

Hi guys
How you holding up Regret, anymore news?
Quick question for you, Virgin/MBNA is one of my creditors and was still able to log in to my online account and check the statements make sure it was being paid, checking the balance was coming down etc and now it says i cannot view because of the status of my account. Has anyone else had this ? I'm wondering if defaults are now afoot and its moved to their in house collections or a DCA.
Kind of worried now.
Hope your having a good weekend?

Hi Gabriella
This has happened to me as well. I haven't had any communication from Virgin/MBNA since they accepted the DMP so i'm assuming this is just procedure. Maybe our accounts are officially closed now? I'm not sure.

Morning all
Quiet around here. I generally only get times to post at weekends but appreciate some of you choose to go as dmp free as possible at weekends!Hi HH, no afraid nothing new on the Aldi scene, unless you can count the new packaging on their chilli and red pepper crisps :rotfl:
Hope you are ok
Ted
ps thanks re OFT guidelines...this thread could do with it's own little info library as things come up....
Welcome. Am paying a trip to Aldi this week, wondering if I can stretch to the slow cooker on Thursday. Trying to do more pot meals that freeze well!Hi Professor PP

I can't log on to my MBNA, they dropped my interest to 9.9% though. Preditors have an obligation to provide you with a statement every so often. It may only be twice a year. Does anyone know? Hope you get sorted G

Afternoon everyone.
Hope all my DMP friends are well and the postman has been good to you all.
Speaking of postmen, he delivered another default notice to me today. So the file is getting rather big.
Best Wishes.Mikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j

Well what can one do. Bigger fish to fry. I like how they finish the letters off "this may affect your ability to obtain credit in the future" as if I want credit. What it should say is "this will stop us from screwing the maximum amount of money out of you in the future." Just imagine if the majority of people started to get defaults and could not get credit. I bet you would see the rules relaxed and banks would be lending money irrespective of your credit rating as we have just seen with the toxic mortgage market.
So Defaults cannot do anything about them so filing is the best solution.
