Received Default Notice from Barclays today filed. Contacted CCCS to see if Shiti had made any contact with them apparently they have they wanted the offer that was made increased but CCCS informed them in a polite way that the payment being made was all that could be made.

I wrote to Shiti about 3 wks ago and am still awaiting a reply. CCCS advise me that Shiti have 6 wks to respond to my letter after this I can then refer the matter to the Financial ombudsman. So i will just sit back and wait.

    Regards

    Hi,

Can I have a paddle number please!?

Have sat down with the OH this week and managed to work out, and accept, that there is around 60K that needs to be paid back. indeed!

Contacted CCCCS and have arranged a DMP which should see us right in the next 5 years with monthly payments to creditors of 1k shared between them each month.
Have been to Halifax today and opened new accounts and cancelled all direct debits that would normally pay off our debts.

Just so I know I've got this right, next month, our wages will go to our new accounts, all those we owe money too will send us a letter (because they won't have received their direct debits) and we make a token payment until the DMP kicks in??

Have read a couple of pages of this thread - Sounds like I'm in the right place!!:T

    Cheers,
    TM

    Welcome

Your in the right place and you've done the right thing. You will have good days and bad days. Good creditors and appalling idiotic creditors who can't read (not that i'm bitter or anything :D)

So enjoy your DMP rollercoaster and if you have any issues I bet someone on here will have had the same at some point.

Relax, your journey may only be beggining but at least is has an end now.

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all OK?! I know I've been AWOL for ages and ages but things have been manic.

    :hello:

I have had one acceptance from Egg, a decline from MBNA and more calls than a BT exchange from "Mercers", or Merceyless, as I like to call them!

    Welcome!

You get a letter in your 'welcome pack' from CCCS to send to creditors letting them know you're doing a DMP, I sent my tokens with that letter.

    And welcome back Ablie
