    Hiya everyone

i am 2 months into a DMP with the CCCS and things are going well. However my boyfriend and i had a joint current account with nationwide. Will me being on a DMP also affect his credit rating?? If so is there anything i can do about this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Chocolates

I think you should take your name off the joint account as it would make your BF financially associated with you. He might be a bit late and may have to contact the CRAs to put a note on to financially disassociate himself from you. Sounds quite harsh but no point in tarnishing his record if you don't need to. Hope this helps.

Hi Chocolates - echoing PDD, if you don't use the account anymore then close it. It might be worth you getting a copy of his credit report (experian or someone) to check if there is a financial association between you. HTH xx

Hi everyone - not been online for a while now. Started DMP on 1st april and has been going smoothly even managing with budget especially this month as all birthdays, anniversary's are all in June. even have money aside for car service in July. But strange thing happened today got my cc statement for June from halifax who have deducted interest this month even though the last 2 statements showed estimated interest at £0. This statement even shows next month estimated interest at 0 so I really dont know what has happened. Are they no longer accepting my DMP. Minimum payment is DMP amount still though. Have emailed the CCCS to see if they know what has happened - has anyone know this happen. Was really thinking I was achieving reducing my debt but the amount outstanding has only gone down by £10 this month instead of £90.

    Hi Candy
Sounds like you are doing really well, especially with your budget!
Think you might have to phone Halifax to see what has happened - esp as next month is showing zero interest, sounds like an error!!! Not happened to us yet....but shows we've to check those statements! This is the second time I've typed this - hope it works this time!!!
