Afternoon all just catching a quick 5mins online before homework starts.

Not too much to report really, barclaycard really doing my head both me and DH have a cc, there automated thing keeps phoning for him probably every hour from about 9.30 in the morning, a real person actually phoned yesterday for him and I was quite narkey with them told them I know you won't speak to me but just listen, we on dmp blah blah blah, you already know this cause i've sent you 2 letters and 2 token payments so dont even try to say you dont know and stop phoning me.........but they still phone, next time they phone Im going to get put through and tell them the matter has been dealt with and they have no reason to phone and if they continue I will be contacting ofcom, it is ridiculous they even phone 1st thing sat and sun mornings it's really p***ing me off now. ahhhhhhh and breath!!!!!

Got new tax credit award in post today after me informing them of DH cut back in days at work, got a whole extra £20 a week, whoopie dooo, he's had a cut of about £4500 and thats all the extra we get, sorry to moan I know at least it £20 but nowhere near enough to cover the loss, am applying for rate relief too so fingers crossed have no idea how much you can earn to be entitled to it or how much you can get.

Am back to that feeling a bit sick stage again my DFD was 10 years as it was, dread to think what it will be now, havnt worked out new budget yet as wasnt sure of total income CCCS have told me to take my time and not worry just continue with tokens.

Still feel good that i have no cc's though i love paying in cash I feel very very proud everytime im at a till, it is so liberating! Credit is the Devil.

    Hope you are all well.

Hope you feel a bit better if worn out. I've added a quick piece on that blog about DMPs and regulation. Not sure how much use it will be but I feel better for it!

    Hi Ted

I did the same, one of the big problems i think is that when you are a "normal" bank customer you have no idea how dreadful debt collections practices are, so the general public swim along (I know I did) totally unaware of their totally heinous practices, needs regulation and needs it now.

Things like the changing of the order in which you pay off your debts, I think for a lot of us on here that the order in which we paid off our credit card debts had a major bearing on how much trouble we are in. We might have not come to this pass if the banks had originally played fair with the accounts, ie paid off the most expensive first. That is now becoming law i undertand, that would have made a huge difference to the amount we owe for sure wonder if they feel like backdated the interest????? Would we be able to claim???

    Hey guys,

Sounds like a serious amount of :grouphug:'s are needed today.....

I'm now official with PayPlan :) with a surprising DFD of October 2014.....not sure how I'm feeling about relinquishing control to be honest, but hopefully its the right step.

Anyway, have some more :grouphug:'s, I'm off back to work and to think about stuff. "Speak" soon xxx
