What news from SCHITI your end Mikon?
They are still 'pending' over my offer, originally sent 6 weeks ago and resent 2 weeks ago.
I have given up on them, luckily I only owe them £2k (my lowest CC), complete SCHITI pants.

    PPP

I have not heard from them in relation to my offer. My first DMP payment goes to CCCS on Thursday and then to CITI on the 26th June.

I am not ringing them. I updated you on the response to my letter so I am just sitting back waiting for them to write to me. Fingers crossed but I have a feeling they will reject.

I will keep you posted if I hear anything.

    Regards

    Evening.

Ive just begun on my DMP journey with the CCCS.

I have posted all of my statements and payslips to CCCS recently and hoping to get the first payment out for the 1st July. Ive sent all of my creditors a £2.00 payment untill they get my first one from the CCCS.

The only trouble is though, Im getting zillions of phone calls from everyone, even though they are aware I am just starting a DMP. It doesnt bother me but I share my house and its kind of peeing off the other people in there the phone ringing every few hours with people asking for me. Is there some way that I can send a letter to companies asking them to remove my home number and just call me on the mobile? Its so nice to read and seee that other people are in the same situation as me - I feel such a relief though, that I am finally getting my debt sorted!:j

Congratulations on embarking on the journey of your life it will be a life changing journey with a lot of ups and downs but we are here to help and support you.

Here is a copy of the letter I sent them and it seemed to work for the majority.

    Letter Template

Since making the above mentioned agreement with you my circumstances have changed.

I do want to repay my debts but at the present time I am not in the position to pay the minimum monthly payments. I have recently contacted the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) who offer a non fee-charging Debt Management Plan, which I hope to start on June 1st.

In the interim month or so I shall make a token monthly payment(s) of £1.00 as a sign of good faith see enclosed postal order. As soon as I have updated my situation and the Debt Management Plan is fully set up I / CCCS will contact you again.

During this period, could you please freeze interest and/or any other charges accruing on the above account.

As other people answer the telephone who are not aware of my financial situation, ie, my children and I am unable to discuss my financial situation in their company. I ask that all correspondence between us be in writing. CCCS have advised me that I request that my telephone numbers be removed from my account/records.

I hope this is acceptable on a temporary basis.

I hope this works for you.

    Regards

    Ah wow....

Thanks guys for that letter :) going to get that sent off asap.

I really have to say that I am blown away by all the help/support on these forums. I guess everyone on hear is in the same sort of position and it's sooo nice to know that other people are going through the same thing. Everyone is really friendly and non-judgemental :) brilliant :):) lol

i will keep y'all updated on the progress. I guess this time is the hardest when it's all being set up. Loads of phonecalls still and letters demanding payment but hoping that will stop soon!

Does anyone know the timescale on a dmp? Like roughly how long it takes to get everything set up? I sent everything to the cccs about a week ago now so I'm hoping to start paying them from 1st July.

I love the posts on Martins blog regarding DMPs. I know these things take time to have any effect but if, in time, it helps future DMPers then it will be worth it. Nice one guys.

Everything seems have gone quiet on my DMP front.

PayDayUk have not responded to my last plea to accept the DMP but i'm expecting them to become all bolshie again and pass to me to a DCA. But, as usual, I deal with them when the time comes. £400 it is, the lowest of them all. My biggest is 20 times that and they accepted no problem!!!!!!!

Since my complaint to Barclaycard about the relentless phonecalls i've had nothing for well over a week and did in fact receive a letter saying my complaint was being investigated! I wasn't bothered about that I just wanted the hourly calls to stop.

So its been a quiet two days in Eyeopeners DMP land, budget seems to be working as I have more than enough money to last me the month. Although I am spending nothing apart from on food and fuel so I suppose that will change if any emergencies arise.

    A very happy E2 today.

    Hi Mike,

Welcome aboard, If all your paper work goes back intime there shouldn't be a problem with a 1st July start. You probably know but CCCS pay to creditors on the 25th of the month. It can sometimes be an issue with some creditors but all i did was ring up and let mine know which they seemed fine with.

If you need any more letters go to www.nationaldebtline.co.uk click through to UK then templae letters. Loads of different ones including asking to stop interest if they don't do it straight away.

    Good luck with everything x

    Morning All

Great post on the blog Prof, if we keep plugging, someone's got to take notice and if it makes one person get through easier by knowing its all just banking tosh, it'll have been worth it.
    Ted get on with it!!!
Eyeopener Glad you're having a better day, I think now that the constant phonecalls have stopped you will feel the difference, and it will give you space to clear your head.
Mike with any luck you should make the 1st July, like Ted, we paid our first payment on 10th, but it all started smoothly.
Morning all the rest, got to run, weather is putrid, blowing a gale and pouring, and I've got a long drive to-day.
    See you all later
