Me n OH were considering doing a car boot. I've never even been to one so it will be an experience. There is one near us next week so I will pop down and see what goes on.

As my OH is an excellent baker the cup cake idea will be used Regret70, if you don't mind.

This really is a new life for me!

    go for it!

They are quite hard to transport though so you will need plenty of tupperware.it was difficult inthe sun too as he butter icing was starting to melt.I bought some paper bags from the sweetie man so people could carry them easily, I found people bought a few if they could carry them.

It's good fun though! I love making all the flavours and decorating them! There were a few people selling cupcakes tho so it's worth makig the stall eye catching, I used a cupcake table cloth and cake stand with bunting on the table it looked shabby chic!

    Good luck

Brilliant Regret:j:j!!! Your stall sounds fab too - very organised business cards aswell - so glad it went well....
We went to a car boot this morning - in the rain - and there was nothing like you there at all! Children had £1 each and managed to buy toys they've all wanted at at least a tenth of the price, no nasty plastic ties to cut through good all round! Apart from me spotting and buying a victorian child's school desk - got it for £20 - which was naughty but dd did need a better place to work at and this is proper fab quality the boys will get their turn at it and then we'll spruce it up and sell it on for what its worth too! Suprising how dmp budget overcomes embarassment over haggling!

Well done you regret you should be very proud of yourself. If you do that once a week that'll be a few pennies for something. It might be worth you looking into a farmers market or something. I was in a highstreet and they were selling all different types of cupcakes, they persented them on those nice cake stands. Ikea do them for a £5 or so.

    Well done you again:j:j:j

p.s ooops just missed your post about decorating table etc durgh!!

Thanks guys! I'm really chuffed about it all, people were coming back to say thanks and how much they enjoyed them which is lovely! I've always baked as a hobby so if I can make some pennies it's even better, I'm also leading how to make the most of my money when buying decorations for them too, I have set up a website too now.

My hubby made me laugh he said if only alan sugar was at the car boot he would have signed me up as an apprentice!!
