Hi, Is anyone else finding the selling on ebay very slow at the minute?
I have been trying to sell the kids old clothes, alot not selling and what is is all going at 99p, nobody is even watching the things, normally when i've listed theres loads of watchers and when i've been buying too, I put a dress from monsoon on at £4.99 and that was it 1 bidder normally anything from monsoon goes past £20.
Monsoon dress is a shocker Andy - I have to say I've had quite a lot of 99p bargains recently and lots of bidding has been last few seconds on other things...must be a lot selling at the mo!
How's Ds doing today? Good to know he got back to school hyperactive fun on the playground! I had to have a dose of the steroids when preg with DS the younger - to ensure lung development - it had a very odd effect on me - and if I wasn't the size of an elephant being hyperactive would have been a good thing to get rid of it out of my body!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Hi Mama and True!!!!!
fab idea there for a new ride! Went on 2 biggies, can't bring myself to go on Nemesis but I could go on AIR all day long... came home with a handful of half price vouchers, hoping to get a travelodge £19 room in the Summer so that we can stay over. Re the kiddies, they could do with a creche there, can you imagine though, all those little faces pressed up against the window watching the adults having fun, they'd be on to childline!
Thanks re the DMP, it's low start as in Cha Cha Slide, How Low Can You Go, but Hey it feels GOOD!
Hope you get better soon Mama.:)
Off to track down school uniforms etc....
Thanks Ted!
Fab new money making scheme there - beside big ride creches - let the little bligters watch their parents have all the fun:rotfl:let them press their little noses up against the glass!:rotfl::rotfl:DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Morning all, sun is shining here but im stuck in sorting paperwork and banking for the week:(
Quick update on son, he's doing ok back at school yesterday seemed to go ok, still a bit hyper from steroids just waiting for the come down now! just going to take time before all is back to normal can be a slow process im told!
Phone call from MBNA this morning OMG wouldnt you just like to punch some of these people in the face:mad: went a bit like this, You have not made payment for May, o hold on you paid £1, you are in arrears. Yes I am going on a DMP with CCCS. O we have not been informed of this. Yes you have I have sent 2 letters and have spoken to you on phone at least once, if you have the token payment you have the letter. Why are you in dept? What can you pay us? O !!!! off  (didnt really say that), please deal with us direct do not go to CCCS. No I am going with CCCS. You will get a bad credit rating. I know. You will still get charges until a proper payment has been set up and I will be phoning you every week to discuss again. OK you do that goodbye.:mad::mad::mad:
Honestly these people are real !!!!!!!!s, I know I am in debt, I know I have killed my credit rating. I have absolutely not gone into this with blinkers on it has been a really hard long researched debated decission, and you know what I am proud to be doing it and making a real attempt to sort my financial situation out so they can all go and take a jump, I am doing the best I possibly can and am jumping all hurdles put in my way.
Sorry rant over but really we all know what we are doing and they come on so patronising and make you feel so small and pathetic well im not, im pround to be dealing with it.
Catch up again later.
I feel your pain Andy!
MBNA have not accepted my offer but have stopped interest and have had only one phone call (so far from them), But HSBC started phone calls last week and were from the far east so difficult to understand. Fridays phone call was "Can you pay the minimum amount today or is there someone in your family you can borrow the amount of to pay the arrears? - (by this point I was spitting feathers!) and I explained my situation which they then checked and confirmed.
Saturday morning another phone call this time a lot more cheerful, and he said he understood about payplan and that the phone calls would stop as it was computer that was prompting them to make the calls.
Monday morning, another phone call from hong kong, same story blah de blah.
Thursday a phone call from the UK HOORAY! They basically tried to offer me a loan which I said i cannot possibly accept as per the terms of my DMP (they even said that this loan would not be classed as credit - how stupid do they think I am?) So they suggested getting the three amounts from the 3 accounts and putting it into one sum and paying this off with one payment via payplan rather than making one separate payment. (I have contacted PP about this but waiting to hear back.)
Friday morning another call from HSBC UK with basically the same phone call as the day before. He did however promise that the calls would stop (yeah right!)

Well posted to soon. Not unexpected but I received a letter from HSBC today, phoned them and as usual got put through to a foreign speaker. Basically went along the lines of "We don't accept your Pay Plan offer, pay more or we will pass it over, have your circumstances changed, why can't you pay now etc?" Good, please do ;-) I think that flumoxed her. Told her they should be dealing with Pay Plan and that I would contact them and ask what needs to be done next. So roll on Monday. This thread certainly helps when dealing with them.Paddle No 21 :wave:0

It beggining to become clear that once your in DMP mode that your attitude to threats or coersion by lenders changes.
"we will refer to a DCA", reply, "please do"
"pay more", reply "can't"
"we don't accept you DMP" reply " well CCCS are going to pay you anyway"
It's just one big game, of course the ultimate sanction of CCJ could happen but if you show a court you've made arrangements to pay they will more than likely accept that level of payment anyway! My credit score/report is lying in tatters so whats a CCJ between friends.
Do you worst creditors, i'm paying you back so either like it or lump it, i'm past caring.
On a more positive note....
We ventured into Iceland for the first time today. Couldn't believe how much stuff we got for the price we paid. Budgeting is going to plan, we know how much is coming in going out, we are working together to clear up my mess (I keep saying 3 plus years isn't that long but I don'tthink OH it totally convinced yet). And life is generally peachy!
A happy E2 today.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013
