    oooh Eyeopener,

sorry didn't realise that you hadn't told your OH. honestly its probably better to tell, difficult I know but better in the long run to face together. If she's just found out, give her a wee minute, it will probably have come as a bit of a shock, once she thinks on, she may calm down. Don't want to cause confrontation but hasn't she benefitted from your debt, meals, trips etc, sometimes peple forget what the money has been spent on. My OH always knew we had debt just not the exact figure, and when we added it up (after we had regained conciousness) he thought about it and said yes he could see where it had gone for the most part and it was down to the two of us together. so we're tackling it together (though its me that deals with the mountain of paperwork!!!!).

Good luck, concentrate on sorting out your OH, and two fingers to PDUK (just make absolutely sure that they can't take any money from you anywhere.

    PDDxxx

Things have calmed down between us now, she sees the DMP as a challenge and blames herself (!) for not spotting how I was falling into the debt spiral. She isn't to blame at all, I did this, but she has been brilliant the past week or so. She keeps a very close eye on everything I do now, which is a good thing.

It has actually brought us closer now, it was horrible a few weeks ago but we are ok, as long as I do what I say. I wish i'd said something a long time ago but then I wish I hadn't done a lot of things.

PDUK cnnot take anything i've made sure of that.

Julie67 re the HSBC loan they offered that to me and I believe Vicb. It is offered to get more money for them and will probably just add to your debt, so IMHO I'd stick with the DMP. I am kind of surprised that they have not tried phoning me, since they are the ones that still say "Pending" on my Pay Plan account, the others say "Accepted". They have taken the Pay Plan money for the past two months. Regret70 I agree that the letters are meant to scare us. If CCCS, or any other company have agreed we are DMPable rather than other means of debt clearance then just quote your reference number at any firm.

My M&S card bill still says I am behind with payment etc in the body of the letter but down the side it mentions my "other means" of payment to them.

    Hope all goes well.

going to be that kind of a day I think, have a mountain of ironing and washing, probably not in that order ifyswim. Might need a wee glass of something half way through to get me finished, just need a good kick to get me off of here and on to the ironing board.............

    Morning All

Just popping in to say Hi and hope you're ok. Sorry i've not been around, was ill the week before half term, managed to get on here for 2 minutes over a mini panic when RBS passed me over to a DCA who didn't look like the most professional bunch when I googled them. Then I felt so ill I was past caring...also had half term which has been fab even with hardly any money, something I thought was impossible 6 months ago.!

Got to Alton Towers with half price vouchers, thought about you all after our earlier threads!!!

DMP started 1st June and all has gone quiet - so far so good!

I'll try to catch up on your posts asap.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

    Ted :)

:j:j:j:T:T:TTed:T:T:T:j:j:j Congrats Ted - do you feel fab being official? Big sigh of relief...long may all be quiet!
Hope you feeling lots better - lucky you at alton towers, did you go on all the biggies? I so wish I could go, but without the small people who couldn't go on the rides! I could do with a good dose of being dangled upside down to get rid of this snot ridden germ I am still fighting with sorry if TMI.
Were they building the dmp INCORPORATOR then of is it just too much of a structurally difficult construction with the massively high and frequent drops at the beginning?
:D:DReally happy you're up and running! xxx
