Where are you all, we were on page 4!!!

At barbeque yesterday nearly froze to death and got a bit wet, obviously wrong time of year to have barbeque.

    Well

The DMP journey officially starts today. I'm now off to the Post Office to pay my first of many payments. Sad that i've got myself into this state but it is quite a liberating feeling.

    E2

Good luck and well done E2.

Hi all, just home from work thought I'd give you a quick update.

DS is doing well no real change yet though. He is very hyper from the steriods practically bouncing of the walls!!!!!!! have to go wake him up now to take medicine, he has to take it every 6 hours! got him an eye patch today (the taping didnt go to well) but he is happy with the patch and wants to wear it all day so I guess mission accomplished.:j

Nothing to report dmp wise havnt really been paying much attention to it past couple of days with everything, although I did phone tax credits today and finally put in my figures and also informed them about hubby's cut in hours so hopefully a bit more coming from there, she couldnt tell me today what my new payments would be but I have gone online and filled out the questionnaire and reckon we should get an extra £40 or so a week, every little bit helps.

Thanks again for all your kind words and hugs for son very much appreciated, catch up soon.

    Have a good weekend all.

Hope DS makes a smooth recovery Andy

    Morning all!

:grouphug: for you and lil man Andy! Bless him being so brave :)!

Congrats on the first tokens E2 - scary but liberating like you say :)!!

Gabs, personally I'd be saving up for F&F's. I figure that the sooner you get rid of them, the sooner you can increase your payment to the bigger one and the sooner its all gone IYSWIM?

 on the gremlins Mama!! Surely we should be able to beat them away with our paddles :D!

Great news on the acceptances Mikon - here's hoping for speedy responses from the rest of them :D!

PPP - hope the appeal on BoS goes well, it just seems like common sense to me that they shouldn't be allowed to double your interest rate for no reason. Surely you would have to sign something agreeing to them merging the three accounts and lumping 12% interest on it before they can actually get away with it? Case for the Ombudsman I would think.

:hello: LJM, Teddy, Natty, Nanny, everyone (apologies if I've missed anyone :o, permisson to kick my butt granted :D)

Hope everyone has a lovely, if not sunny then not raining, bank holiday weekend - plus side? No post for two days instead of just one :rotfl: :j YAY!! Anyone have any exciting plans? Can't quite believe its half term AGAIN next week, surely it was only the easter hols five minutes ago! I'm off to recover, DH decided to share his bl**dy man flu with me so I'm hiding on the sofa while DB is off out with Granny (:D) for the day!

Hugs :grouphug: all round :D xxxx

Hope you feel better soon True. Sending dodgy hugs

  • Just wanted to say a big hello to everyone.

Have DMP gremlins, poorly cat, car needed resuscitating and had speeding and parking fine!

On the plus side I have DMP! First payment starts Tuesday. Need to attend to paperwork tomorrow. Some that accepted have sent letters saying payment late so withdrawing the offer, grrrrrr. Seems pretty standard for them to do, thank goodness for peeps sharing this on MSE. Will bash some please reconsider letters out tomorrow.

    Hope you all ok

Quick hello, Im recovery from DDs 3rd birthday party. Thankfully no screaming kids just family. But being up till midnight making cup cakes is not advised!

Keep those DMP gremlins away, seem to be doing the rounds at the mo.

Andy - hope your DS is back to normal soon, am sure a hyper 7 yr old is not much fun.

Congrats to those making first payments and getting acceptances, great first steps :)

Big hello to everyone else and a big hug to those with kids for the holidays ;)

    Hi

Odd feeling this. I've made my first payment to CCCS via the post office as my dd was set up too late. Me procrastinate? Never.

AnywayI keep thinking, is that it? Is this all I have to do now? Normally I would spend the next 30 days till payday worrying about how i'm going to pay cc1,2,3, or 4 or loan 1 or 2 or whatever. Now its done n dusted till 1st July!

    Weird feeling.

    But a great feeling.

If theres anybody reading this and worrying/stressing about debt just try the DMP route. It does work.

I totally agree! I was paying by cheque and had 4 credit cards, 2 catalogues then HP and loan not on the DMP and could not keep track of any of it. My stress levels are way down simply from not having to remember to post or what date the DD ones were coming out.
