    Morning all!

*YAWN* there isn't enough coffee in the world for how tired I am this morning!

Probably won't be around much this week with it being half term and I have assignments due for my OU course so I really ought to concentrate on those! DH has said he'll hide all the post from me to help me so as long as I can stop myself from logging on and spending all day lurking around the forums I may be able to crack on!

The weather is shocking today which is good in one respect because I don't want to go and sit in the sun although DB is bored out of his skull because he just wants to go outside - oh the joys of half term!

1st of the month means trip to the post office for me but once its done I can get on with the rest of the month :)

Morning all, I missed the whole 100 pages celebrations yesterday so a big yeah:j from me. and a big big thanks to nataz for starting it off :T

DS is much the same was at GP this morning and are to go back to hospital tomorrow, so we'll see what that brings.

True do you send out all your tokens at one time, I seem to be constintley running to the PO as Im just sending for due dates, but reading your last post Im now thinking just doing them once a month would be much better as im going to be on them for another couple of months anyway.

Weather was rotten here this morning but sun is shining now, dont know how long it will last though!

    Have a nice day all.

  • Hi

Phonecalls from RBS have now started!!:( Must have phoned at least 5 times over the weekend including Sunday and Bank holiday! Got really annoyed with them today and explained for the last time that i am with payplan and communication to be via post from now on. Said they would update my records but i am not sure if that will stop them. Payplan have sent the offers to them and they havent responded yet, dont think they will accept though as on a very low start in comparison to what i was paying.

Well reading through other peoples post looks like this is going to be a rocky start but hopefully it will be worth it.:)

    Hi Everyone *walks in sheepishly*

I'm SO sorry I have been neglecting you all *hands out tea and cookies* work has been non-stop, new client so we're all hands on deck!

Plus, I've badly sprained my foot whilst running :( so spent most of Saturday at the hospital getting checked & x-ray. 2 weeks of ibuprofen & no running :(

No DMP news to report here. Will be flat hunting soon EEK!! And BF's job is going really well - loads of overtime so lots more cash!! Hurrah!! :j:j

I on the other hand, need to fork out for a new pair of jeans as I managed to rip my usual pair trying to get in them after the wash (no more cookies for me!)....a cost I could do without, but I need jeans for work...Grrrrrr

Hope all is well with you all, catching up with everyone's news now xxx

feeling completely fed up today. i had a letter saying someone from aqua would visit today, which i was dreading, i havent slept all weekend worrying about the post and someone knocking the door. anyway i went out for the day with hubby and no one seems to have called although as we pulled round the corner to home there was a van blocking the drive. cant say how sick i felt. luckily it wasnt them. not sure what time i have to stay sat on the settee watching out of the window for now! i think probably 8pm and im in the clear???

anyway i appear to only have £60 to last me 4 weeks, including food and petrol. things are pretty rubbish at the moment. :(

hope you are all feeling a bit more cheerful!

    Hi all hows it going.

Hi Freshstart bare with RBS they hassling idiots but should back off after payment was received. The only problem i had with them was they sent a letter to me accepting but one CCCS saying they hadn't:mad:. So rung them and its been accepted for a year:j If you do ring and it says Triton it is still RBS but they're inhouse collectors. Hope it goes ok

AndyD fingers toes crossed for you and the family sending lots of hugs- on another note like True do it all in one go at least you know its all done and dusted for the month and it shows your paying early and on time.

True hello lovely sending you sunshine and choccy cake for OU study breaks

Vic B Ouch for ankle, how was the running going before that? Get well soon.

    Hi to everyone else.

RIght DFW's i need all of your advice - i was meant to be buying this banger of a car £500 in but fairly good service history etc, all saved up for and Oh paying for insurance. The long and short of it is basically i've been mucked about something cronic by the seller and am now thinking that i should pay a bit more for a better car. I have found one for 2000 euros smaller engine less car tax and less juicy petrol just more economical. I have another £300 saved which i wanted to keep but can use.
I can afford to pay for a car monthly and get it paid off quickly but it would set me back saving for my F&F's. I can prob get a decent car here ( CYprus old cars are dodgy and different prices to UK) for between £2-3000 euros. It would set back my saving by about 4-5months maybe longer. HELP i don't what to do:eek:
    Thanks

A couple of you seem to be having a tough time of it at the moment. I can only say that it does improve, or it is for me at the moment, so hang tough.

Even my pest creditor hasn't phoned today, I only got a call from a loan company offering me a Secured Consolidation Loan. I was going to go down that route a couple of months ago and it was only this thread and the other one on DMP's that saved me from that fate.

Freshstart and Regret things will improve, you have made the right decision it just takes a while to settle down.

  • Good evening folks, sorry to hear some of you having a bit of a rough ride at the mo, it will get better, it really will.
With regards to the car Gabrielle, it is always pot luck with an older car, so if you can afford it I would buy a newer model, however that is still no guarantee unless you can get a warranty.

I am celebrating my 2nd month of DMPness and it is 4 months since LBM and joining this thread, so here's my update (I always found these useful to read from others when I was in the horrible limbo stage, just to see what certain creditors were doing).

BoS loan, accepted, interest front loaded at 6%.
MBNA 1, accepted, frozen interest and charges.
MBNA 2, accepted, frozen interest and charges.
EGG, accepted but no communicaion at all re. interest?
BoS 1, accepted and frozen interest (after major battle and Payplans help)
BoS 2, accepted, awaiting statement to see if they have done the 'right' thing.
BoS 3, accepted, awaiting statement to see if they have also done the 'right' thing.
SCHITI, pending, claimed they didn't receive offer, eventually Payplan faxed it to them again last week, they are by far the most difficult of my creditors and as so often happens they happen to be my smallest!!

All in all, very pleased at the moment and am in no doubt that I done the right thing, frankly I never have been. PP

    Looking good Prof

Shiti eventually did the right thing with us, took longer and they did all the never heard of anything/body on this planet stuff. Egg stopped all interest and charges as soon as they received the first payments, and I can still access the accounts online, although this may change as they send me a letter terminating me to-day.

All in all looking good, if Bos stopped all charges it would help more but they don't have hearts, I think they hope you will win the lottery and pay it all off, and if they hadn't added some interest, they would feel they had lost out...........

Long may your good DMPness continue...........
