Regret, dont think we've said hello, sounds like you are finding your feet. Well done to your OH for being so supportive. I hate it when it starts getting close to end of the month, money just magically disappears. I made mistake of buying bulk buys this month, not a great idea, spent far too much. Ive been doing this since feb and I still cant get the budgets to work Oh well, heres hoping Junes a bit better. Just have to ignore parents 30th wed anniv, DSs 1st birthday, Dads birthday and of course fathers day..... uh oh I smell trouble :rotfl:

    Hello!

i am new on here really, well ive been lurking for a while trying to salvage my debts by myself, but as most of the people on here probably know, i just ended up getting myself into more of a mess, so here i am ready to start a dmp! just hope i have done the right thing, as now my credit rating is screwed isnt it? i dont think there was another option for me really though so hoping i have done the best thing. i didnt want to take out a secured loan or any thing.

feeling a bit scared still today about my dmp, im still getting letters from my creditors regarding defaults. how long before they take me to court?

any way im rambling on! good news on the £7 left front, i found a £10 note i had forgotten about so now i feel positively rich! i have a day off on thursday so i can take my mom out for lunch now which will be lovely!

i also had news today of a possible promotion at work, my manager said my name is in the frame so as long as i do well at the interview i will get it!

    hope everyone is okay!

    After a TOTAL wind-up from Capital One claiming that my signature on my DMP letter, didn't match my 'correct' signature;
I contacted them yesterday and offered to send them another letter with the same signature on it, which is the same as the one my card , etc....
Amazingly, they muppet just said "OK, thanks".... (and "do you want to pay now ?!!) ..What are they playing at ?
They claimed that they can't accept or acknowledge my DMP letter because of this discrepancy, and also not to have heard anything directly from CCCS....
So having phoned them twice, and sent two letters and one payment , I seem to be no further forward with them....

Then I phoned back today , to ask "what signature do you have on file" and the chap says. "We have received your letter on 11 May, and a letter from CCCS dated xx May
and can confirm that the proposed payment arrangement is now in place."

Good News I guess, but I was so surprised I forgot to ask about freezing interest and charges..!:D

Meanwhile, Halifax called three times and sent me a text, leaving a different phone number to call back, on each message.
They also seemed surprised when told them I had written to them on 27 th April and 9th May concerning my DMP - although they had miraculously managed to cash the cheque included in the first letter ....

However, they did agree to freeze interest, penalty charges and further demands for 10 days , while the CCCS arrangement grinds it way though their multi-billion £ system.

Egg are another story. Their several daily phone and text messages, (while I'm @ work trying to pay the s0dding bills) all ask me to call back on their 0845 number, but I can't stand more than 20 minutes (while at work) wating to recorded cobblers. so that hasn't moved on yet.

    So; the score is :
    1 down,
    1 nearly sorted,
    1 messing about,
    1 hasn't made contact yet.

The Blue SNAPPER snaps back! ;)

Regret - chin up kid, it does get better, as many on here will tell you. It's amazing how we always manage to find some extra money just when we are are at our wits end:):):):)

Andy hope the head's better now:(:(

Nat - can't believe that with BT, the cheek of it:mad::mad::mad:

And hi to everyone else!! I've had a busy time at work lately, manage jump on and have a quick look though. Oh well back to my emails to and from Managers who don't understand simple requests and have no idea that when we say we want information in by the end of a certain day, we mean it, not this time next year:mad::mad::mad: Sorry......rant over!

    Catch you later

Bluesnapper Cap 1 did that with OH's account, did stop interest after they decided that they were on the same planet as the rest of us, seems to be a timewasting excerise to give them something to do all day. I think they did the same with ted as well. So you're doing OK, don't worry.
regret they should really give you breathing space to get a DMP sorted and set up, your a long way from court, try not to worry, once its all sorted out it will get easier, ours certainly have.

Hy all the rest, still coughing so lying on the sofa looking wan and interesting...........
