Gabriella, looks like everyone else has jumped in before me with many kind words. There is the possibility that it is some form of post traumatic stress from moving and the DMP. As you said the DMP is running it self and probably isn't the main thing on your mind anymore, I know mine isn't either. But I can relate to your situation. When my 6yr old son was born, we knew within a week that he would have to travel to Great Ormond Street Hospital (from N. Ireland) for v major surgery, but not until he was 14 months. The time we spent waiting in limbo was weird, we were numb with shock and denial. It was only AFTER the surgery that it really sunk in and I felt v low for a long time and self medicated with shopping, hence the £23,000 debt!

Anyway, I don't have any magic remedy but I hope you feel better soon:)

    hi all,
Hope your doing ok haven't had the chance to get on here for ages so have caught up on 20 or so pages of your wonderful chat!

Welcolme and welldone all newbies for joining us and starting you paddling journey.

Wicked news PDD on an acceptance.

Hows things with you Tedds great news to not get any calls.

Well done VICB with the running i've dowloaded the couch to 5km from a certain sight too. Haven't started yet.

Hope the rest of you are all good Mama, albie, Nataz, AndyD, Mikon gosh who else sooooo many now.

My DMP seems to running itself now, looking forward to going full time so i can't saving for F&F's. To be honest i'm a bit down, i sort out one bit of my life and the other seems to be slipping away from me. the OH and I aren't getting on too well i tried talking about it and i just got shouted at. i'm sorry to blurt all this out here. Its difficult being away from home and although its been 3 months it affected me quite badly a touch of depression but haven't been to the Dr's to talk about it properly sort of mentioned it had blood tests and thyroid done as my hair was coming out a bit more than normal they've all come back clear and he was sort talking about speaking to someone of some tablets:(, i thought i could work through it on my own positive thinking and all that and the fact we'd moved abroad was why i was feeling crap. I should be ok now got a job nice house weather, lacking in the supportive side i guess. Really sorry just needed to get this off my chest i don't know what to do. TBH feel like going home and leaving him we've been together 7.8 yrs and i've given up everything to come with him because of his job. All i get is you've had 3 months off work i'd give my back teeth for that. He doesn't really think depression excists i don't want to use it as an excuse but i feel like i've got a huge cloud over my head.

thanks for listening just needed to sound off xx

    Hi Gabriella,

    Massivo Albie hugs for youuuu:grouphug:

I hate to sound naive but where have you moved too? I really feel for you, have been there and got the t-shirt with my ex OH. I moved albeit 150 miles away a few years ago, because of his job and I too had bouts of depression. Wasn't about the money then but just such being left on my own whilst he went out and drank all the time and partied the night away. I eventually moved back home but he followed me and I thought I'd be happier at home, but he got even worse. After 6 years I did call it a day and now am with a guy I've known 16 years and due to marry in September this year.
It's hard that you're having to deal with all these personal and financial issues and bad enough on your own but we are all here for you!!:jIf you were in the room with me now I'd give you a massive hug and make you a cuppa and give you some Albie humour to cheer you up.
But seriously from what I've read from others posts, talk to someone if you can. I had some counsiling and had pills (found out I do have a big thryoid problem) but the final decision is up to you. You are in control of your own life, can make your own decisions and I know you'll make the right one for you eventually. Please keep posting so we can all support you babe!

Afternoon all, totally get you with the being taken for granted NB and not only from dh but ds and dd too and they're only 7 and 5 "doesnt matter just leave it wife/mum/SLAVE will do it!!!!!

Feeling quite good today the dmp journey really is like a rollercoaster up one minute and down the next cant keep up with myself!

Phoned cccs today with a couple of questions they really are lovely, got most of my paperwork ready to send them though im just holding on untill im finished with my bank before sending final details. I was also very brave and phoned tesco cc as they had sent me a letter son say my payment was late I explained all and they already have my first token payment but she says i will still continue to get letters etc as its all computer generated and they cant freeze or stop interest or charges till they get the dmp details.

Im finding it is much better to talk to the companies rather than ignore them even when they cant really do anything at this stage they so far have been very accepting of my situation and have taken note.

I was originally planning to do a couple of months tokens so i could get a bit of money gathered up but im beginning to think maybe it would just be best to get started asap as the extra charges for not making the full payments will add up what do you think any advice from your own experiences?

Hi Andy, well done for being brave and phoning Tesco! I think I will have to make at least 1 month of token payments with Payplan whilst they set up DMP. I know what you are saying re charges but I guess it depends on whether having some spare cash in the bank for an emergency fund is important to you. I wonder if when your DMP is up and running properly you may be able to negotiate and claim back any charges acrued? I personal hope I can make at least one month of tokens so I can put some money aside incase the DMP gremlins attack and something breaks down.

they never told me, they said they wrote a letter, never got it, have spoken to them 5 times on the phone since 15th January, they never told me but it was accepted on 1st March!!!!
Guy this monring tells me its accepted and will be sent to a DCA, but they will accept the payments as usual at the moment because it can take 10 months to send to a DCA. CCCS were never told either, but the guy did confirm the balance, (about right with payments off and no interest added) How do they get away with being so incompetant????

    Congrats to you PDD.
Both MBNA CCs accepted my DMP today with interest frozen I think. 3 down 5 to go!!!
