Sooo, I sent my 4 creditors a letter each last week , including a token payment - i.e. the same as they will get through the DMP (via CCCS).
Got my DMP Plan through from CCCS on Saturday.
I have completed it, issued all the the pro-forma letters to creditors, and sent it all out in tonight's post.
CCCS suggested a June start to the DMP, which is cool, 'cause I have already sent out May payments up to my total budget !!
So far pretty quiet on the creditors front they all know I'm planing to enter a DMP, but the only responses I have had are - "please set up your DD again" from Halifax and Egg. (uh, nope!) and CapOne inviting me to sign up for their own long-term DMP, ( again that's a no!)
If all 4 approve I can finally get some sleep and start working on my new stomach ulcer....and focus on my family, and work, and the rest of my life ...

Hi All,
So had some responses to my initial letters, one asking me to set up the DD again (nope snap blue snapper:rotfl:) and another strange one from Halifax saying
thanks for your recent correspondence. We have now cancelled the DD facility on your account.
Please ensure that future payments are made by an alternative method and received by the date shown on your monthly statement.
If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on the telephone number above???????
does that mean they have accepted, will they stop or freeze interest. I intend to begin my payment on 26th June as promised with the DMP but not sure what it means. Is it me?
It sounds like they might have accepted, would contact CCCS/Payplan about the interest. I have to say HBOS have been quite understanding with me and have been the first to accept my DMP. PPLBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.

Will probably see what Payplan have to say.
To be honest, I took the loan out at 6% 3 years ago, so it's not that bad. More worried about the CCs really.
Voted LibDem but am quite bemused by what's going on and not sure they are right by playing the other parties off against one another, it's all over the place.
Hi Prof,
Just wondered, how you getting on with Payplan? I have another phone appointment with them tomorrow lunchtime (will prob have to be in the ladies loos or something in case of prying eyes/ears at work:rotfl:). I guess they just want to confirm balances and how I'm getting on canx dd's etcDebt £22k (ish):eek:LBM April 2010DFD - work in progressPaddle no. 26"whether you think you can or you can't, your probably right"0 -

Hi AB, they've been great.
Started the DMP on May 1st, they sent out offers to all creditors with the first payments, as I said so far 1 out of 8 accepted, others pending.
Am actually quite glad I couldn't start for a few months now, if you remember they said I had to have made 3 monthly minimums to all creditors and I made a balance transfer in Jan, so hence the May start.
I reckon doing a month or so of tokens actually helps one's cause, it shows your creditors you are in the poo.
They confirmed my balances by contacting the creditors directly and then as soon as I'd made the first DMP payment we were off.
You must be quite close to that now?LBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.

Voted Libdem too, can see why they had to talk to Tories first but now it's like ping pong...
Yep, they increased their majority in Portsmouth South (my constituency) as well. It's a real mess now. I would rather have a tory majority than all this, apologies to you true blues on here.

Albiebabes wrote: »Oh yes, I remember the reason you had to delay now. I only told Payplan I wanted to go ahead with a DMP about a week and half ago now. I have already set up alternative bank account and my wages are due to go in end of May. PayPlan said it will take 5 weeks in total to set up DMP. I guess I send my token letters and payments out this week and start to transfer all the DD's over to Natwest. Not really sure what "stage" I'm at I guess:think:
I reckon you are pretty close to beginning the DMP then.

Hi Professor,
We are doing a self administered DMP so will have to check the statement re interest. Hopefully they have accepted though. ThanksStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
