Afternoon all, not much to report today alls quiet on the creditor front, checked my bank and all the token payments have been cashed so guess i'll wait for the statements.
Feeling a wee bit low today not too bad just a bit blahhhhhhh, done some shopping and only had my new debit card with only £50 in it so knew I had to stick to it so went round the supermarket writing down all the prices as i put them in the trolley then totalled them up before going to the till.......how sad is that:(
I have a neices birthday this week and have been invited to a party with work on saturday nite and a lunch i do with a friend once a month is this week and its my turn to pay:eek: It just all feels a bit daunting as my budget is not really up and running properly yet so i dont have the money put aside for these yet, when the budgets going i have included all this so will be fine but this first stage i am just finding a bit hard as im still paying a couple of my minimum payments for stuff connected to the bank but i have worked that I should be able to close the account on 23rd so i can go onto the token payments for them too.
Its just hard getting it all straight in my head and all started up, i know i'll get there in the end.
Glad to hear your doing better ljm and good luck with the house true, i've finally got mine sorted although it really dosnt last long!LBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -

Any chance the money off restaurants section of MSE could be of use? I signed up for a local one and get sent emails with offers, hardly use them but they do sound good. Did use it once last year and got two free meals, for a four person lunch. :beer:Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -

Hope you're all having a good Monday.

Hi All
Sooo, I sent my 4 creditors a letter each last week , including a token payment - i.e. the same as they will get through the DMP (via CCCS).
Got my DMP Plan through from CCCS on Saturday.
I have completed it, issued all the the pro-forma letters to creditors, and sent it all out in tonight's post.
CCCS suggested a June start to the DMP, which is cool, 'cause I have already sent out May payments up to my total budget !!
So far pretty quiet on the creditors front they all know I'm planing to enter a DMP, but the only responses I have had are - "please set up your DD again" from Halifax and Egg. (uh, nope!) and CapOne inviting me to sign up for their own long-term DMP, ( again that's a no!)
If all 4 approve I can finally get some sleep and start working on my new stomach ulcer....and focus on my family, and work, and the rest of my life ...
Everything crossed....The Blue SNAPPER snaps back!

Hi All,
So had some responses to my initial letters, one asking me to set up the DD again (nope snap blue snapper:rotfl:) and another strange one from Halifax saying
thanks for your recent correspondence. We have now cancelled the DD facility on your account.
Please ensure that future payments are made by an alternative method and received by the date shown on your monthly statement.
If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on the telephone number above???????
does that mean they have accepted, will they stop or freeze interest. I intend to begin my payment on 26th June as promised with the DMP but not sure what it means. Is it me?Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I'm really proud that you stuck to your budget in the supermarket!:T
Sounds like we have a similar story...I too am just starting my DMP, not quite there yet and Payplan have advised that I continue to try and pay my barclay card and barclay loan for now as they're connected to my bank, barclays, however I have asked for my salary to paid into my new Natwest account at the end of May. All the other creditors can be paid via token payments in the meantime. Must admit bit confused with it all at the moment:oDebt £22k (ish):eek:LBM April 2010DFD - work in progressPaddle no. 26"whether you think you can or you can't, your probably right"0 -

Hi PDD, it's a personal loan so they just front loaded all the interest, not sure where I stand with this?
Will probably see what Payplan have to say.
To be honest, I took the loan out at 6% 3 years ago, so it's not that bad. More worried about the CCs really.
Voted LibDem but am quite bemused by what's going on and not sure they are right by playing the other parties off against one another, it's all over the place.LBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.
