Well...
Thing is none of my adverse appears on Equifax, only Experian (well some on Call Credit but who cares).
When I applied for a Silver and My World card Sygma didn't see my Bankruptcy order or defaultsCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Since May I've accumulated FlyBe, Maximiles, Creation, Accessory, JJB.
AllSaints and M+Co arrived Saturday, and Silver arrived today.
When do they stop? lolI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Izools....you were approved for both i take it? Simax-how far apart were your apps? And...if you don't mind me asking (!) ...what sort of limits have you got? Again being nosey but is your annual salary high?0
-
Yes, I was approved for both.
I was initially given £1,000 limits on each card, Silver at 24.9% APR and My World at 19.9% APR. My income at the time was not massive but as they ask for household income on the application I was able to put a large figure - £40,000 - £49,999. My limits are now £2,190 on each card but I've closed them now along with my Capital One card. Creation have shabby customer services like I've rarely encountered so I paid the one I owed money to off a few weeks ago and closed both in disgust.
I am also ploughing a lot of money into my Zopa loan so that will be clear by the end of the tax year. Great being able to overpay penalty free.
The master plan is to apply for a Barclaycard Simplicity once the Zopa loan shows as settled as by then I'll have £0 owing and a lovely history on an unblemished Equifax file. Love that Barclaycard search Equifax, means I'm actually in with a chance :beer:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

The Simplicity is the one I applied for over the phone. It was referred I think. Tried to chase today but the overseas call centre says 'the system is down'...???!?0

Criteria for Simplicity is mentally tight with an APR like that. The overseas call centre are useless. Might as well be having a conversation with yourself.
Good luck with the applicaiton although don't feel too bad if it gets turned down - I applied in April and was turned away with a 100% flawless Equifax file although they did offer me a Barclaycard Classic (19.9%) - I didn't take them up as I'd rather wait until I've got what they want for a SimplicityCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

No not high - £22k approx - Couple of weeks between apps except AllSaints/M+Co and Silver which were all done within 3 days.
FlyBe, Creation, Silver, Accessory, AllSaints = £2,000 each
JJB - £850
M+Co - £250
MaxiMiles - £3,200
... and I got a Nationwide Visa - £2,000 limit during this time too.
No-one would touch me a year ago. Got a cloudy history on Experian, but must be clear on Equifax (now).
In 18 months when my Experian will be clear, I'll look at closing a few (I'm clearing them all in full anyway) - my file will look awesome with all those green ticksI spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. ...which leaves me to ask... I thought Sygma was a responsible lender? I'm not going to abuse, far from it (I've learnt from that) but surely they're opening themselves up to abuse? If someone like me ran up £14.3k in 6 months from them (total Sygma limit I have) on my salary it could be argued if it went to court that they were not responsible..... possibly?I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019.
