    UHHHH just applied for a silvercard and was declined stright away, is that because maybe got 8 searches already within a span of a week?

    btw i applied for a barclaycard a week ago and got declined this is after i was accepted for a Flybe card, thought they only did a search with equifax but was wrong they did it with all three CRA. experian and call credit had a default from a payday company was put on few months back luckily got it changed just today from a defualt D to S00000000 and call credit all ticks with settled on it can i ask barclaycard to review my application again?

    With 8 searches you want to not even think about applications for another six months at least.

    I know, had this bloody itch of applying anyways will leave it for 6 months now, btw I have a ccj for £335 on file it was put on in 2007 if i pay it off will it stay on file for another six years from the day it was settled or will it come off from the day the ccj was put on.

    It will come off six years from the day it was recorded whether or not it is settled.

    I would say it was more to do with the default/ccj you had on file - i had 6 searches in 2 weeks and got the clarity card.. That itch is annoying ey, get it every so often :P

    Hi yes it was the Halifax Clarity card mate - i even have one default due to come off sep 12th but i still got it and with a few searches on there, i have a good relationship with hbos but i do have home insurance and travel insurance through halifax and have done for 2 yrs, maybe that has something to do with it :)

    And btw i had pet insurance with sainsburys for 1 year after that finished i applied for there cc and got accepted with this default too.. :)

    I've once more been proven of Flybe incompetence this morning. I wanted to check account online as had recently paid balance & got message to contact customer service ASAP. When I managed to speak to someone and explain situation was then told it was because I had reported my card lost or stolen and needed to activate the card first!!! When I told her that I had the card in front of me & never reported the card lost or stolen, she put me on hold...came back and confirmed that I did it on the 25th august and she was persistent to the fact that I did. I said certainly not, check your record. Was then put on hold again for a few minutes and was given this ridiculous explanation that because I had not made any purchases on the card for a while that they had put a block on the card & sent a new one. So I said that if I had been abroad and needed to use the card and because I had not purchase anything for a few months they just blocked the card for no reasons without at least calling first or sending a letter. She did not know what to say. I just think that they've just made a huge !!!! up and do not want to admit it and found this stupid reason as an explanation.

    they changed all my online when I lost my card
    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    This happened to me too, when I rang the woman I spoke to said that they had changed all the Flybe cards due to 'promotional changes' and said that my new card had been sent out on Monday :think:. I still haven't got this so if it isn't here by Tuesday I will be getting back to them She did give me my new card number and expiry date so I could re register for internet banking which I did but had to change my user name as mine was 'already in use' (durrrrrr!!! of course it was i was using it LOL) but all my details came up so it seemed okay. I then thought I'd better ring back to check the details for sort code etc were the same to make payments with through my bank and the man I spoke to this time sounded astounded when I told him what I'd been told as he knew nothing about it?? he did ask me if I wanted him to activate my new card though which I said no to as (as I'd already told him) I hadn't got it yet! anyway he gave me the info I needed that sort code and account are all staying the same and then took a payment from me from my debit card (only made a small one in case anything went wrong) but he it has all gone through today when I checked my account.

    Still not got the card though, sounds like they cancelled all the ones that are affected by this 'promo' thing and no one knows what it's about LOL
